Read the stickies on this forum, again and again.
No one food or drink barring some daft exceptions are "healthy".
You'll get fat.
Probably sh!t your pants from all that fat and caffeine.
Too much of anything is unhealthy. Thats why it's 'too much'.
Probably sh!t your pants from all that fat and caffeine.
Depends. I mean, go buy some Depends. Nothing says "I gotta go NOW!" more than too much coffee and coconut oil mixed together.
You'll probably get anxious and poop alot
Jimmy Moore loves butter in his coffee. According to him it has special fat burning properties.

Why ruin a delicious cup of coffee like that?
I rather be fat than eat like that ^^

i wish you would learn a thing or two; clearly when i'm trying to lose fat, the key is to start my day by drinking 50 grams of fat with some caffeine mixed in.
forget TDEE and macros, forget energy balance and everything; when did people stop realizing that in order to lose weight, you just have to eat.less.food?
"oh no i need to add bulletproof coffee! or i can blend together a fruit smoothie that has just as many calories but it's less filling than eating whole fruit! or i need to go buy a fat burner!"
when did people stop realizing that in order to lose weight, you just have to eat.less.food?

False!
1. In keto calories don't count.
2. If you put grass fed butter in your coffee the MCT fats will be directly used for energy. This makes BulletProof Coffee (TM) the special fat burning drink that it is.

That takes discipline. Most people dont care for solutions that require effort.

Truth
BPC is meant to be a breakfast substitute or otherwise a meal replacement of sorts.
1T of butter, 2t of MCT oil, and 1 or 2 T of collagen powder is only 300 calories or so. Personally i can go 6+ hours without being uncomfortable or distracted by the thought of food if necessary.
Of course if you are consuming it with waffles bacon and eggs it gets to be a lot of extra calories...but that's not the idea behind it.
Not sure what you mean by "to much" though.
Alan Aragon on putting butter in your coffee:
I’d have to say buttered coffee is the most overrated health food right now.
The current trend of dumping butter into your coffee (the “bulletproof” recipe calls for butter and MCT oil) is ridiculous for a couple of reasons. First off, the idea that it’s a fat-burning drink is completely false. If anything, it’s a fat-gaining drink.
Secondly, butter is not a magic food. If anything, it’s a food that needs to be carefully moderated since it can adversely affect blood lipid profile by increasing apolipoprotein B (apo B) levels, which has the potential to raise the risk for cardiovascular disease. In addition to raising apo B levels, adding supplemental MCT oil to coffee has the potential to raise fasting blood glucose and triglyceride levels. Both of these effects are not conducive to good health.
One more little wrinkle here, cream contains a substantially higher content of milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) than butter due to the churning process involved with butter production. Recent research has linked the higher MFGM content of cream to its more favorable effect on blood lipid profile than that of butter. So yeah, stick with cream if you’re going to dress up your coffee, and don’t buy into the imaginative BS claims made by crazy opportunists and marketers.
LMAO @ this thread.
Seriously, how dumb do you have to be to put butter in a cup of coffee?
Why ruin a delicious cup of coffee like that?
Honestly, when I did keto I tried it and liked it. Also added a caffeine pill and got quite a good kick. Sadly I was not shredded or a member of mensa the following day tho.

you didn't add enough butter, clearly. next time try a full stick
The Pioneer Woman puts butter in her coffee too. Then again, she got really fat since she started her cooking show, so there's that.

Typically I don't see anything healthy about putting butter in coffee.
But hey, what ever is "IN" now a days right?
I'll stick with cream and sugar
and what will happen if i drink bulletproof coffee too much?
possibly you'll come to the realization that it's a stupid idea
You don't have much to worry about, haha. I myself enjoy bulletproof coffee a few times a week at a friends house to discuss current events (like old women). It is definitely a healthier option to your latte's, sugar loaded coffee drinks, and excess spending. Just like anything else... moderation. Once a day isn't going to harm you. Most pre-workouts contain 200 plus mgs of caffeine (way more than bulletproof). It is made with grass-fed butter, which is healthier than highly processed butter (none the less, not a high quality fat), but once again. Moderation. If you have bulletproof coffee everyday replace a red meat meal with a lean protein meal instead to make up for it.

Healthier than a latte?
Latte = coffee with steamed whole milk (a fat source with a tiny bit of protein)
Bulletproof coffee = coffee with mct oil and coconut oil (a fat source with no protein)
Not much difference, I just take offense when you speak bad about my latte's like that. They have feelings too ok?
