Muscle Gain and workouts
I feel as though I haven’t made enough progress since I started a year ago, and that my arms are disproportionately smaller than my torso. I’ve been doing arm workouts every other day and am currently in a football lifting program at my highschool. I lift every week day after school and do cardio on the week days, I’m very dedicated, yet it seems to not be paying off. I’ve been drinking protein shakes lately and feel as though I haven’t gotten as far as I wanted.
When I have my sleeves pulled up, my forearms look horribly skinny and only when I flex my arms they look normal and fit my body.

You should take pictures of yourself to compare yourself to now.
If you're looking to gain muscle, you need to doing three things:
1) Aim to gain weight each week (0.5-1lb if you're doing it lean).
2) Get enough protein in your diet (0.7g per lb of weight or more).
3) Use a good program for lifting. Try one of the novice routines here (find them in the stickies) to gain overall strength & muscle.
You only need protein shakes if you aren't (and can't) get enough protein through your meals.
Also, keep in mind that arms are a really small muscle and take a long time to grow. I've found that the best forearm exercises (for me at least) are deadlifts and dead hangs.

Don’t do arm workouts everyday. Focus on the big lifts and add arm workouts here and there. Be patient and follow a good program.
