Is the used car market just as fked up in the USA?

In the UK, a car that was worth £1500 4 years ago is now worth £3000. Peak clown world. Probably the best time of your life to sell a vehicle you no longer need but the worst time ever to buy one. Full of clowns on FB marketplace & Ebay wanting ridiculous prices for chit tier cars with no service history.

new cars are super expensive, assuming you can even get one without a bidding war.

so used cars are also higher in price. You're better off going to some cheap state to buy a semi new car. Just be careful of scammers these days.

Yes a few years ago I got a used Nissan maxima with 30000 miles on it fir 18000. Now the same car with 55000 miles is 50000. A used Sentra with 55000 miles us like 30000 now. That won’t even last you 2 years

Will sell me a brz new, at msrp, 32k give or take

Dealer Gets a used 2022 Toyota 86 with like 1k miles, lists it at 40k. For those who don't know it's literally the same car with a Toyota badge and a couple minor differences.

Somehow the used one is nearly 8k more. Just lol.

I like those cars, one drove past me today in blue. Chit looked well kept, glossy af with wax. Will probably buy one in a year or so
