I don't think he's necessarily a game changer but with no AD he offers solid rim protection and he can score well enough. There is zero paint presence right now against big teams, that sixers game showed that
If he's onboard for a vet min and the lakers can somehow also get porter jr (Assuming he becomes avail) that would be enough for the nets I think
Right now it's about minimizing the losses as much as possible with AD/Lebron both out

Agreed on Drummond mostly it's about him getting boards as well. Hes won a bunch of rebounding titles and would be HUGE considering this team has a terrible issue of missing 3's. Once AD and Bron come back he's gonna be that big that helps AD stay at the 4 and allows that rim protection that Gasol just can't provide

Yeah neither Harrell or Gasol can provide it right now. At least Harrell can score though, Gasol is literally dead weight out there.
THT actually showed up last night which was night. Granted it was against the worst team in the league

I was actually impressed with Schroder.. he played as hard as Harrell and FINALLY put up some efficient scoring. I swear he really would be perfect for this team if he was able to connect from 3 on a more consistent basis, it would open up those blow by drives so much better imo.
I feel bad for THT, people like me and you are gonna critique him extra hard from now on because they decided not to trade him for Lowry.. He's gonna turn it up come playoff time and be a better defender

I just hope he keeps this up. This is kind of his chance to shine with AD/Lebron out. Shroeder has been ok I just wish he could create a little more offense for others which he's been getting better at so overall this is the right direction after that horrible pelicans game

Intradesting.
Drummond owned Jordan's soul this game. I sense the Lakers/LeBron did some psy-ops.

Shieeeeeeet that was nice to watch, and man they weren't giving him calls either he got fouled a few times there

Ok guys. I get it, playing the Clippers, no Lebron/AD/Drummond, and they got Kawhi/Paul George. It’s not supposed to be a win
But god damn they are playing horrible. Two double dribble penalties? Multiple turnovers? Can’t make a shot to save their lives? Multiple air balls. Gasol looks like he’s walking out there. No hustle.
-
THT the one bright spot in this game, they really need to give the man more minutes w Lebron out
-

Gasol needs to go. He was whining just yesterday about Drummond and Harrell playing instead of him and yet when he goes out there, he is averaging less than 5 points and 4 rebounds on 40% shooting as a center.
-
The Lakers deserve to miss the playoffs for letting DH go in favor of a washed up Spaniard athlete.

He's got weak, soft hands. Can't corale or contain the basketball, especially when it's a lead pass.

Yeah I'm mostly speaking to the offense. Although the Clippers just played well today overall. But the offense without Lebron is just horrible. No one is there to make plays, and their 3 point shooting has been really bad
-
They are doing better than I thought they would tbh. That game against Sac was crazy.
-
The Lakers are like the Warriors. They are nothing without their stars.
-
17 pts, 4 rebounds, 6 assists I see you THT
-
I know this is apparently a shocker to a few people but actual legit championship teams are typically deeper than even their top 2 players.

How did the Nets do vs the Jazz the last time they played?
-
Yeah, Lakers might now win a championship this year without those two. They are the leader of that team. :)
-
Pretty good job tonight despite the loss. Heat is fully healthy and Lakers kept it close the entire game. Drummond in his first full game with a double double, 12 rebounds/15 points in limited minutes, had a block or two and a steal also which was nice.
Imagine the possibilities with AD/Lebron back, oh lawd
-
lol lakers dungoofed by not keeping rondo/dwight
-

I mean, Dwight was just impatient, he was gonna get the same deal from the lakers
I think Drummond is going to do everything he did but better once you get him in there next to AD/Lebron
-

DS was terrible today. If he even plays an average game they probably end up winning. I'm so happy he decided to not sign that big deal, he's been overrated almost all year. They need another ball handler besides Bron, but DS isn't the guy you pay 20+mil a year to

Yeah I think the playmaking was noticably missing. I don't know what he thinks he's going to get on the open market this summer, he's delusional, if he keeps playing like this lol
Overall though tonight felt like a win just seeing what they did without literally the 2 biggest pieces to the team, also no kuz/THT
-
Pretty happy with how this game is going, up 3 at the halftime, nets are down harden, lakers still down Lebron/AD/Kuz
Lakers shooting 50%/44% from 3 though so that won't sustain. I feel like Nets are gonna pull away in the 3rd
Drummond is doing ok but fouls/shooting are weak spots. 8 rebounds/11 points in 14 mins tho
Lmao Irving talks **** and gets himself and Dennis thrown out. **** off Irving you flat earth believing bitch ass *******
Refs in Nets pocket tonight, doing everything they can to keep this close. KD is unguardable damn
-
Good God this Lakers team is STACKED. Impressive.

I knew drummond was going to be good. Obviously he'll be the 3rd/4th option when AD and Lebron get back but his rebounding is nice and he's made some really good defensive plays. Definitely a no brainer considering he's playing for a min. contract
They're also just shooting really well rn, itll die down, it'll be a close game still
