Thought parts of that movie were a bit gross, I did like the ending though.
Regarding Legion, it could have been a hell of a lot better. There were a few scenes that were ok but overall it was a disappointment.
Saw both those movies and was disappoint. They could've been a lot better. Legion wasn't that bad, but the acting was just so-so and the story wandered too much. However, I did see "Feast" the other day and although it was a major gross-out, the special effects were very good and the editing was very sharp. Acting wasn't that bad, either. For what it was, not bad.

Sounds like parts of bladerunner...
I watched The Eraser last night (I don't watch movies much )
Movie is dated. When the hero gets a spike through his leg and then is shot in the shoulder but stills deals with the bad guy and gives the chick a big hug I was like "oh puh leeeze."
Cool weapons: Check
Boobies: No
Arnie?: Yes
2 out of 3 for me.
Got "Book of Eli," looking forward to watching it this weekend.
Just watched Tropic Thunder and Step Brothers back to back.
Good and good. :)

Tropic Thunder is so dang funny.
I just watched Red. I really enjoyed it. It was cute.
Brack,
Isn't Tropic Thunder the flick about actors who wind up in a revolution somewhere? Or am I mistaken? If I'm not, watch Galaxy Quest. "By Grabthar's hammer, you shall be avenged!" THAT is a funny movie!!

They end up in the middle of an area where they are manufacturing drugs. It is one of those movies (imo) that needs to be watched a few times to really get all of the good stuff. Or, maybe I am just slow. :)
I also liked Zoolander. :)
I agree. "Legion," was one of those movies I was very glad I did not pay for. Have you seen the trailers for "Priest,"? Basically looks like the same movie with the same people.
Yes, and I must be a glutton for punishment because I added it to my queue.

Galaxy Quest was not funny- it was brilliant! It addressed sci-fi fanboys and their importance in the sci-fi multiverse, as well as the actual sci-fi story. Plus, it also answered one of life's great questions: blondes really do have more fun.

She was wearing a wig!
Just watched with Wifey.
Post apocalyptic Denzel Washington takes a 30 year walk across the US in a MadMax world.
Can not recommend highly enough, wish I had time to watch again tonight, will have to wait until tomorrow though.
Thanks to ... I think it was Kimsquit? for the recommendation, great movie.
A Kurosawa film set in 1949 Japan (b/w). "Murukami, a young homicide detective, has his pocket picked on a bus and loses his pistol. Frantic and ashamed, he dashes about trying to recover the weapon without success until taken under the wing of an older and wiser detective, Sato. Together they track the culprit." (from www.imdb.com)
Murukami is played by Toshiro Mifune. I find older police dramas interesting because they seem to add dialogue to explain police procedures. It was interesting to see how Mifune portrayed the mounting despair of the young cop as crimes committed with his piece start happening and he counts off the bullets up to the climax of the film. Also noteworthy is a baseball game featuring the Giants and Hawks- from the number of closeups of the players, I'd guess these were some pretty famous Japanese baseball players.
Watched Machete last night. Entertaining, but not as awesome as the hype. Just don't go in looking for too much, and you should be entertained.
Been catching up a few movies and watched the last Shrek movie last night, it had it's cute moments but I hope this was the last one because they have jumped the shark.
And just finished viewing "The Lovely Bones" with Mark Wahlberg, good movie but pretty damn depressing.
I just watched Running Scared, what a great movie.
Had it all, gratuitous violence, pimp beatdowns, boobies and a plot that keeps you on edge the whole time. Not one for the ladies but if you like mobster shoot em ups that keep you guessing this one's a winner. Best film of this kind since True Romance and without the star power that cast had. 3 thumbs up.
Just watched "Frozen" about 3 late teens caught on a ski lift overnight. Got rather long about halfway through and it was all rather obvious.
Also watched "The Stepfather" which my wife and I liked although it too felt about 15 minutes too long.

I've seen this offered up on netflix and thought "how the heck could being trapped on a chairlift hold my interest for almost 2 hours?" And I used to work at a Ski resort.
Hope someone will chime in about Running Scared, one aspect of that movie really freaked me out.

Hadn't heard of it, I actually thought you were referring to the old Billy Crystal flick.

There you go, Bando. :D
edit...oops...the link is gone because i deleted the thread. hahaha
wow. i need sleep.
Movie that I recommend...is 127 Hours. If you haven't seen it...check it out. I thought it was inspiring. :)

I just watched it and I enjoyed it too. Great chemistry with the cast and the action scenes were over the top funny.
I put Running Scared in the wife's puter and replayed some of the best scenes...

yep
Just watched Red. Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Jon Malkovich, and a few others. Great flick. Highly recommend it. Action, with a twist of comedy, very entertaining.
Just finished watching Drive Angry with Nicholas Cage. Not great, but had a few nice touches and William Fichtner is very good as the "accountant."
I caught "Battle Los Angeles" last night.. total thumbs up!
Red Riding Hood was good. I was happily surprised with the decisions made for this movie. Gary Oldman is fantastic (as usual he brings something distinctly Gary to his character).
If you've ever played "Are you a werewolf?/Mafia" you will likely enjoy the constant paranoid plot twists.
Went to the drive ins last night to see Hall Pass and The Adjustment Bureau.
Hall Pass was funny, not Hangover funny, not even Due Date funny, but it was worth the couple hours to see. Fake Chow brings the LULZ! Not a must see by any means, but worth the buck to rent from Redbox when it comes out.
The Adjustment Bureau had an interesting concept but was way to slow in developing. Skip it or at least wait for it on rental!
