This is a video of my 80 years old training partner Ernest deadlifting 160kg beltless in the gym yesterday, I am looking forward to see what he can work back up to in the coming weeks.

Looked pretty easy for him!
i worry about his spine, what if he hurts himself?
Indeed, it's a fair thing to worry about - if he stopped lifting, he might hurt himself. Looks like he won't do that though, luckily.

Thanks I will let Ernest know you liked his lift, he is doing a comp in March and hoping to Deadlift 200 + kg on the day.

You are right, Thankfully Ernest has very little bother with any aches and pains and puts this down to the fact that he is still lifting and has no intension of giving up any time soon.
