Hey everyone I was looking for some insight on how to meet new clients.
I’ve used a few resources such as ads on ******** marketplace, Craigslist, Whisper, and of course my own social media (Instagram, FB).
I was hoping fellow members here would know of other avenues I could try out to find new people to add to my network?

Hi mate,
I own a gym and I am also a PT.
The three strongest forms of gaining clients are 1. ******** ads 2. Referrals 3. Instagram.
If you don't have a super strong physique then the first two are your best bets.
Find your niche. Do you want to train young people, old people, assist with general weight loss, powerlifting, physique? Target your ads to those people.

The truth is - it depends.
Full disclosure, I am a business coach and I've worked with some PTs to grow their business.
The reason I say that it depends is because different types of clients hang out at different spots. Who do you really enjoy working with and want to be a hero to? And where do these people hang out?
For example, one PT I've helped had tons of success running local events. He would invite people out to the park once a week, to train with him at no cost. Then if people wanted to continue, he offered to help them, at no cost, until they started seeing results. He had success at this because he was willing to do so much "free work", and create so much goodwill in the market, that people started hiring and referring him non-stop. The other reason is because he knew his ideal clients loved outdoor work.
Another example is a running technique specialist that I'm helping. Her approach is totally different. Instead of going one by one, we're helping her form partnerships with companies that have possibly hundreds of her clients, and form a joint venture where she offers something that her partner's clients would love, and by their partner's clients getting good results, everyone wins. It's a win-win-win. But it's also a much more delicate and nuanced strategy.
Ask yourself these questions:
- Who do you love working with?
- What would you do if you could only get paid AFTER your clients gets the result they want? In other words, who are you extremely confident you can help?
- Where do they hang out and how could you create for them the experience of working with you, at a zero-risk investment for them?
