Interested in getting a pullup bar.
Just wanted to drop a couple questions here:
I'm no engineer. If I had to install something on a wall or door frame, I would probably mess up horribly. But I could certainly use a pullup bar at home so I can practice getting good at them.
Are they easy to install?
Are there any terrible stories of someone doing pullups but being too heavy so the bar breaks off/or the door frame is destroyed?
Are they cheap? How much do sturdy ones run for?
Will it damage the door frame?
Here's a decently made unit that installs in seconds, and poses virtually no risk of crashing down http://www.pullupbar.com/
With today's house building technique (read, cheap pine, often joined pieces, etc., door frame), don't you think, that such a set-up will permanently dent the door frame?
I would like to hear for someone, having one.
I guess, this is the reason for stand-alone VKR unit (since it provide Dip & Leg Raise as well), without damaging today's cheap construction house.
