That’s pretty heavy , how much you weigh
That’s pretty heavy , how much you weigh
190
20 comfortably. Wouldn’t go any higher since I can’t afford to be injured or I’m out of work.

twink
twink
lateral raise isn't a common measure of strength. if you're lateral raising 50s you're probably ohp'ing 250+

if you cant lateral raise then youre not worth a graze
I was plateaued at 55’s for a few weeks but did a drop set and now I’m hitting 60’s and 65’s on heavier days for reps
fully rested i can rep 50s with p good form no estat
No you don't.
You don't know a damn thing about clean form if you lat raise over 40s. And even 40s, you have to be an absolute house to pull it off clean.

gym only has dumbbells up to 110 so I do high volume with the 110s since I can't go heavy
I can do 60s but i do them kinda like Jay Cutler, with some momentum going, I'm not into super strict form, I train like Arnold, Franco, Jay Cutler, etc
Why would go that heavy? 50s, 60s, for laterals? Seems a bit fraud-ish. Either that or you're asking for trouble injury wise.
I keep them light. I don't think I've ever gone above 20lbs for laterals. I just do more reps on this exercise.
You'll make way more gains using lighter weight with good form than using massive dumbells. Your medial delts can grow on very light weight. It's not like training chest or legs.
Why do lateral raises when you can do Lu raises
lol at working in the 8-12 rep range on lateral raises
Depends on how much I cheat
lol at working in the 8-12 rep range on lateral raises
You just do max singles?
If you’re doing 50lb then you’re probably not doing it right.
You’re going to get the most out of the exercise with stricter form.
Why do lateral raises when you can do Lu raises
Lu raises are good, but the jump in plates is hard , might start using dumbbells
Heaviest ive done is 80lb dumbbells for 6 reps, but why
You just do max singles?
lol don't think ive done lower than 20 reps on lat raises....seems to grow them best for me
My heaviest set is 17.5 KG (38.5lb) DB per hand for 20 reps.
lol don't think ive done lower than 20 reps on lat raises....seems to grow them best for me
lateral raises are always best in high reps
people who do low rep lateral raises are clueless
12.5 lbs :(
lateral raise isn't a common measure of strength. if you're lateral raising 50s you're probably ohp'ing 250+
This is not true
I will be lateral raising 70s soon and although I can DB press 100lbs for reps i ain’t hitting 250
If you’re doing 50lb then you’re probably not doing it right.

I’ve said for years that people make the mistake of just doing high volume fluff and don’t actually progressively overload their shoulders. And then they wonder why they don’t have good delts
100 dolla bill yall
Father time is a mfer
lateral raises are always best in high reps
people who do low rep lateral raises are clueless
I do Dumbell lateral raises in the 6-10 rep range (sometimes add dropset too) and then I do cable lateral raises in the 12-15 rep range
Cable lateral raise feels so fukin good mang.
