Decline Situps 25-0
Good workout this morning. Thought about jumping up to 135 on the MP but decided to try 130 instead. It went up with no real trouble so next week will be the big wheels. :)
Still a bit bummed about the Giant's game last night. Hopefully tonight will be our night. Go Giants!!!

Sounds like a great plan to me! :)
I miss decline sit ups. That's a really good way to hit the ab wall.

Definitely. I need to increase mine to two-three sets. I've been sitting at one set for a while and have just been too lazy to add more.
Dude... this is a like a workout of pain inducing torture. I know it's awesome, but is there any part of your core that isn't in agony afterwards?
Today during my lunch break I walked 2.48 miles in 45m:36s.
I also completed my 3 sets of 10 chins for the Chinup project workout.

You know it my friend. :) I haven't been that excited about a game in years. All World Series long I kept having flashbacks to 2002 and how we lost the Series on the road in Anaheim that year. I just had a feeling that these guys wouldn't give up. They are so damn good with their backs against the wall. Fabulous team.
Are you going to the parade?

My celebration just involved watching endless replays and highlights on the various sports channels last night. So lucky for me the only hangover I had this morning was being tired. :)
As for the big wheels, I can't wait to give them a go on Monday...and join the club. :D
lol that chevy guy giving Bumgarner his award has gone viral. All over sports radio here today.

Now that was painful to watch. I'm sure that the producer who decided to let that guy go live on air was feeling some heat on that one.
Sounds like Chevy is gonna run with it:

This morning I completed workout A (8_3_A) as follows:
Hypers 20-0
Squats 5-145, 5-195, 5-235, 5-235, 5-235

Fat Bar MP 5-79, 5-101, 5-128, 5-128, 5-128
Leg Raises 25-0
Great workout this morning. Everything was pretty much the same as Monday's workout except for I bumped up my fat bar MP by 5 pounds to get ready for my regular bar MP next week going up to 135. I'm ready to go with that.
After lifting I went for a trail run and ran 4.9 miles in 57m:05s. It was a good run. I took the day off to watch the Giants parade, so I figured I'd better take advantage of my spare time and do some cardio to get ready for some recliner sitting. :)
Strong workout. Squats are coming along nicely and those rows are impressive. Great job plus a 5 miler to end it all off. Good day. Enjoy your parade
:D
Can't believe there are so many New Yorkers round here. I have to say I am impressed those guys can play baseball as well as NFL. :p

Thanks. I still have a long way to go to get to my squat goal...hopefully I can keep the training running. :) After the leg workout and the run, tonight I'm having trouble getting up out of my chair.

Hah...now if the New York football Giants could win the World Series that would be a very neat trick. :D

Going to post a few pics in the mlb thread over there, didn't stay for too long but I had to go down there for some of it.
Those squats are getting up there, so is the bench. You're turning into a machine over here!
Yesterday I did 3 sets of 10 chins for the Chinup Project workout.
Today I did my weekly "test" and wound up doing 55 chins in 5 minutes. I wound up stopping with about 30 seconds remaining and was just too gassed to go on.
This morning I completed Workout B (9_1_B) as follows:
Hypers 20-0
Front Squats 5-95, 5-135, 5-165, 5-165, 5-165
Incline BP 5-135, 5-165, 5-190, 5-190, 5-190
DL 5-165, 5-205, 5-245
V-Grip Chins 5-10, 5-15, 5-20, 5-20, 5-20
MP 5-95, 5-115, 5-135, 5-135, 5-135
Decline Situps 25-0, 25-0
Good but tough workout this morning. Yesterday I took a 3.5 mile hike and decided to carry a 25 lb weight in my backpack to increase the intensity. Well doing that seems to have been a bad idea, as somehow I seem to have tweaked a nerve in my lower left hip / back area. I tried to do some stretches last night to work it out, but this morning when I woke up it was still barking at me. I still managed to hit all my lifts as planned. I was worried about the Front Squats, DLs, and MPs, but everything went OK. :) Also, I forgot to set my watch back and wound up waking up at 4:30 am instead of 5:30 am to workout...d'oh!

Nice little video. The crowd looked great. I really thought about going but the 3.5 hour drive there combined with the traffic getting back out with Friday traffic, combined with Critical Mass, and Halloween all added up to talk me out of it. Instead I took the day off work and watched the whole thing (~4 hours) on TV. :)
Aha. Multiple sets of declines. :)
You're showing some damn good strength in your pressing and pulling.

Thanks. It definitely feels like I'm making progress...but there is still a looong way to go. :)
What grip do you use with your front squats? I won't bore you with my crying about sucking at this lift but I'm always trying to find out different ways to try it. I've gone through a few so far and it drives me crazy. Nice session anyway man, great to see all the 5x135's on mp.
And not that any of you gaf but I won't watch that god damn vid btw and I hope that mlb thread gets locked :D

I struggled with various grips for the front squat too. I generally did better with the Crossed-Arm grip instead of the Clean grip. Finally, I wound up buying a Sting Ray and have been using that for a while now. It makes me feel the most comfortable as the weights get heavier.

I'm happy with getting the 135's up on MP. I'm thinking about sticking with that weight for a couple of weeks to really nail my form with it prior to adding more weight on.
As for locking the MLB thread...sore loser. :D
Bummer about the hip. Hopefully it sorts itself out with a little time and movement. Nice overhead pressing today.

Thanks. Yeah that's what I'm hoping. It seems to hurt worst when I sit around, like today at work. That'll be good incentive to keep working hard. :)
This morning I completed workout A (9_2_A) as follows:
Hypers 20-0, 20-0
Squats 5-135, 5-185, 5-225, 5-245, 5-245, 5-245
BP 5-145, 5-185, 5-205, 5-205, 5-205
SLDL 5-145, 5-185, 5-235
Wide Grip Pullups 5-10, 5-15, 5-20, 5-20, 5-20
Rows 5-185, 5-185, 5-185
Fat Bar MP 5-85, 5-107, 5-129, 5-129, 5-129
Leg Raises 25-0, 25-0
Good workout today. My left hip is still sore, but I was able to work through it. I was worried about squats, but they weren't a problem. I noticed the hip the most when doing Stiff Leg DL. I'll just keep stretching out each day and lay off running for a little while until it heals up.
Good to hear it is not getting worse!
