It switches to burning a higher % of your calories from bodyfat, but you burn fewer calories because your body switches into "survival mode" and holds on to as much energy as possible.

Although there are better ways to lose weight than fasting (and overall more healthy), I actually admire your conviction and willpower to see this through. It couldn't have been easy, in fact it must've been excruciating for the first 20 days.
As long as you switch your lifestyle and start doing regular exercise while watching what you eat after the fasting is over, you'd no doubt have the "beach body" you wanted.
You've come this far so there is no way you're going to stop now so I won't even bother trying to convince you otherwise.
I hope other members do the same and just wish you good luck rather than constantly criticise.
