all fruits are good all of the time
if anyone says otherwise they are stupid :p
^what he said.. i like eating banana's a lot :D
Fruit has nothing to do with libido whatsoever
Apples are great for your thyroid, they have been proven to increase T4 to T3 conversion. Bananas are also good for potassium..
Those are pretty much the only fruits I eat because the fructose in fruit only replenishes liver glycogen before adding to fat storage. I know a few top level athletes that completely eliminate fruit from their diets around contest time
bananas are one of the best
All fruits are great for enzymes and phytochemicals which help to fight diseases.I especially like papaya which helps the digestion process this
is extremley helpfull when eating a lot of protein every day.But as badboyslayer said you have to watch out not to overeat them as most contain a lot of sugar.Although they also contain a good amount of fiber which does slow the release of the sugar.Still not good to gorge on.

I think this quote^^^ should be made into a sticky!! I am sick of people asking about fruit. It is one of the the least processed carb source there is..c'mon.

Fresh ones. My fav now is pink lady apples.
I eat ALOT of apples and bananas. Any other fruits I should try out? I hear plums and mangos are tasty.
Bump to the apples my favorite
blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, bananas, apples, strawberries, kiwi, pears, peaches
any type of berry is the best fruit, as they have the highest concentration of phytonutrients, especially blueberries. All fruits though are good for you.
Fresh ones. My fav now is pink lady apples.
bump to that. I love strawberries but I have myself a pink lady everyday. They beat fujis, my second favorite, out of the water.
While all fruits are good not all fruits are created equal. Berries have the lowest glycemic index while apples and oranges rank higher. Pineapple and papaya contain papyian which helps your body digest protien. Bananas are great for potasium. Some people will have an insulin spike with fruits that contain higher amounts of fructose...

Would you mind elaborating/expanding more on this?

Effects of glucose or fructose feeding on glycogen repletion in muscle and liver after exercise or fasting.
Ann Nutr Metab 1987;31(2):126-32
Conlee RK, Lawler RM, Ross PE.
In athletics, muscle and liver glycogen content is critical to endurance. This study compared the effectiveness of glucose and fructose feeding on restoring glycogen content after glycogen was decreased by exercise (90-min swim) or fasting (24 h). After 2 h of recovery from either exercise or fasting there was no measurable glycogen repletion in red vastus lateralis muscle in response to fructose. In contrast, glucose feeding induced a similar and significant carbohydrate storage after both depletion treatments (8.44 mumol X g-1 X 2 h-1). In the liver, following 2 h of recovery, the rates of glycogen storage were similar after either glucose or fructose ingestion, but fasting caused a greater rate of repletion (83 mumol X g-1 X 2 h-1) than exercise (50 mumol X g-1 X 2 h-1). After 4 h of recovery fructose-fed exercised animals had the highest glycogen concentration (165 mumol X g-1) followed by the glucose-fed exercised group (119 mumol X g-1). These values were 50 and 36%, respectively, of that measured in the normal-fed liver (327 mumol X g-1). In contrast, liver glycogen values in the fasted group decreased between the 2nd and 4th hour of recovery in response to both feeding regimens. From these results we conclude that fructose is a poor nutritional precursor for rapid glycogen restoration in muscle after exercise, but that both glucose and fructose promote rapid accumulation of glycogen in the liver.

The best fruits in my opinion are pomegrenates, and raspberries.
Actually now that I think about it the best fruits are the ones you pick yourself - mmmm fresh strawberries.
According to George on Seinfeld Mango's can up your libido :)

you know i would bother saying why that study is irrelevant and useless, but im tired, and everyone knows im right anyway, so please dont post studies to make yourself look smart if they have no relevance to your argument
ahh yes. natures candy. gotta love it, cant hate it.
plums have good antioxidants and fiber. strawberries have good fiber but aren't always sweet because they don't ripen after they are picked (that's where splenda comes in :P). blueberries have good phytochemicals and fiber and taste good. i like gala apples, they are delicious. like said earlier, bananas have a good source of potassium and blend in in most protein shakes.

Thats it? Go post in the teen section where more like minded idiots can follow you and believe everything you say because you're "tired" and "everyone knows you're right anyway" LOL :D
The study proves fructose is extremely poor at replenishing muscle glycogen but good at restoring liver glycogen (which is my arguement).
Badboy you better stop eating fruit. Keeping your liver glycogen happy & your body in an anabolic state, as well as benefiting from many nutrients & vitamins banannas & apples have..well you can see just how detrimental they are, definitely a health hazzard.
I suggest all of your fruit goes into the bin. You are totally correct.
This site has a list and explains why..
