Incline bench today...

175. Highest I've ever gone on incline bench. Unfortuantely the guy spotting me had his hands on the bar, so I don't consider it a PR. I assumed that he would keep them off since I've spotted him numerous times in the past, always without hands on the bar.
Oh well.
*Shrugs*
I've joined Team Conventional. 500 x 5 easy last week, 525-545 x 3 this week. I'm going to be so y0k3d.
I miss conventional. I might get kicked out of the club soon.

Didn't look like he really helped you at all. He was spotting correctly. A light touch won't change anything. All it takes is a split second for you to be creamed and destroyed. Better safe than sorry. It's a PR, man.

Sumo for too long...no bueno for my hips. Been running Sheiko with conventional for the last two months (R.I.P. erectors), and I test ran my sumo. So...much...easier. 405 felt like a speed DL. I've seen a lot of really good DLers (depends on who you talk to) suggest running the opposite of what you do until you're close to a competition then switching back.
Also, 500x5 "EASY"...:'( dafuq...

Once this glute strain heals I think my sumo is going to be sickening. My best conventional DL before last week was 500 x 1 lol. I'd like to pull 600 conventional before I go back to full time sumo. inb4 700

700...I hope I get to 600 before you hit 700. Challenge accepted.
How much are you weighing in these days? DLing that much at 207 is beastly.

218lbs after NYC for 6 days. Should level off to 215ish once the bloat subsides. Trying to pull things together to compete at 220 in December. 231s in 2015.
We on that 5/3/1 time.
Going to powerlift my way to aesthetics.
345 x 5 for my heavyset on my first Deadlift day of the program.

Probably had another 2-3 in me, and I realize last set is 5(+), however it also seems like he places emphasis on starting lower than capable and working into it, so I'll likely begin with final sets be + sets in the next week or two.
That 500 x 5 was also accidentally kind of snatch grip. lol

****in' glorious. lol @ snatch grip. Looked like a pretty easy five, especially with such a wide grip.
Do you have a new log?

I'm running it, too. I'm on week 6 of the accumulation phase.
Speaking of sheiko:
If running 29 the general approach is
29>37>32?

Yep. Pulling 2x a week was too much for me.
Oh yeah - 545 x 3 today. Couldn't fit all 3 reps into IG because that shiit was heavy.

Strong lifting brah.
Tomorrow is first bench day for 5/3/1 and I am excite.
Although realized I was using ACTUAL 1RM for working set % as opposed to the suggested 90% of 1RM, so will be making that adjustment.

Here is the new 3-day template:
http://sheiko-program.ru/forum/index.php?topic=15.0
Sheiko and his boys have dismissed the current Sheiko train of thought that's out there, so follow the above. Also:
- Accessories, like DB flys, aren't meant to just "stretch." People have said this a lot, and I never understood why. Pick a decent weight and treat it like any accessory on any program. These are basically your hypertrophy exercises. Why waste all that time doing 5x10 stretching?
- The program is very, very adaptable. Sheiko encouages it. You can swap out regular squats for pauses, change bench to pin presses, use higher reps for hypertrophy, add backoffs, etc. It's all possible within reason. The actual forums discuss how to do a lot of it, and it's worth reading through.

Fuh...nice DLs, bruh.
http://instagram.com/p/ulHIfAL1Ib/
DLing for my erectors has been a bitch, so I've been trying to go through it, but I'm also only doing 335-355x4x2 on pause DLs, which is like your warmup's warmup. I'm sure if I had a man's DL it'd be better.

Holy ****, bra. You're gonna pass me soon. :'( **** you and your bench.

Thx a million man. The gf is actually the one running it not me lol. She's finishing up 29, and as far as I know, her only modifications have been adding some rowing work, in addition to a 4th day of just rowing work as well. I'll definitely give this a read.

Taking the day off here.
Resting up and enjoying a nice day with the lady.
Heading to a Mongolian BBQ for dinner.
$10 for all the fresh meat, veggies, & rice/noodles I can eat?!...tomorrows bench session should be a good one.

GF is actually going to run 5/3/1 with me (albeit a simpler version).
So phucking excited to get her into lifting :)
