Sam’s Choice Cookie Butter

I finally got around to scooping this pint, despite mostly negative reviews surrounding this flavor.

I will have to agree, that I am in the same boat. I am normally a huge fan of vanilla ice creams. However, this base is pretty bland and generic. The flavor is mild and very weak in terms of vanilla ice creams.

The cookie butter swirl and bits pick up the slack some, but don’t save the day. The flavor of the cookie butter just isn’t as strong as I was hoping it would be. The swirl is extremely thick and sticky, almost along the lines of a B&J’s core. The cookie bits are really soft and chewy. This pint was absolutely loaded with mixins, so I can’t complain about that.

This is a pint that sounds trendy, but Sam’s Choice just missed the mark. The vanilla base is bland and the cookie butter flavor isn’t strong enough. The only brightside is the amount of mixins and the change of textures within the pint. If you are a cookie butter fan, then give this a go and hope you get as lucky as I did with the amount of swirls and cookie bits. Otherwise, this one isn’t worth your time. C+

B&J's Spectacular Speculoos Cookie Core has given me no real incentive to try flavor's from other brands, at least grocery store brands.

That place is on my bucket list. If she's already doing their flavors tho, then I don't need to wait until an Aus trip and can croak earlier...saves everyone a bunch of time.

I get where you are coming from good sir and - selfishly - thank you for this service to the community. However, some of these pints have about the same probability of enjoyment as an offer to get kicked in the testicles.
Stay safe bruh.
Little g Hot Chocolate

Little g kept this pint pretty basic and simple. However, that doesn’t mean it is a bad ice cream by any means.

The chocolate base is pretty unique and different from your typical chocolate flavor. It is rich and extremely chocolate. It had a cocoa taste to it that you associate with hot chocolate whenever you drink it. I was impressed at how chocolaty the base was overall.

Upon opening the lid, I was met with a pool of marshmallow fluff and could barely see any of the chocolate base. The marshmallow fluff is extremely dense and creamy. It has that sticky consistency to it that sticks to your spoon. It is extremely sweet and it pairs perfectly with the chocolate base that keeps the richness of the chocolate at bay.

This was a simple and well executed pint. However, I can’t say it is one of my favorites. One downside I experienced with this pint was how fast it melted, which was probably due to the extreme amount of marshmallow swirl. On the other hand, the combination of the sweet marshmallow fluff and rich chocolate ice cream work well together. I wouldn’t say it is a must from Little g, but easily still an above average pint. So finally yesterday I received my latest Graeters order. Delayed once because of late flight then weather in my state. I emailed them Tuesday expressing my concern. I know they have no control over delivery and weather issues but was told if it melted they woudl resend and if still fine at least refund shipping.
SALTED CARAMEL CHOCOLATE CHIP
BOURBON PECAN CHOCOLATE CHIP
SEASONAL PUMPKIN
SEASONAL CINNAMON
SEASONAL PEPPERMINT STICK
SEASONAL EGGNOG
BLACK CHERRY CHOCOLATE CHIP
ORIGINAL SALTED CARAMEL
BLACK RASPBERRY CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIE DOUGH CHOCOLATE CHIP
MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP
COCONUT CHOCOLATE CHIP
I got it yesterday and just in time is seems. Dry ice was all evaporated and gone but ice cream wasn't melted for the most part. Was soft but still okay in my opinion. Some I opened later I could tell melted a bit. I was disappointed that they did mess up 2 items. I got 2 peppermint sticks and a butter pecan. I didn't get cinnamon or black cherry chocolate chip. I emailed the company again just to say that ice cream is fine just soft but I like it that way and that 2 items were incorrectly sent. Quick reply back and they are reshipping the whole order as she said concerned about the softness and melting plus the 2 incorrect items.
So I am going to have like 30 pints of ice cream in my freezer soon. Already had to hide some of what I ordered from wife.

I ordered my first batch of little g the other day after seeing some posts on here. I used to live right around the corner 3 months ago but didn't realize it existed. I got hot chocolate, chocolate milk and cookies, chocolate peanut butter cup, triple cookie dough, and fudge brownie (yep, I like chocolate). Might use some as Christmas gifts...if they last that long.
I also grabbed a handful of dry ice when the package came after ignoring multiple indicators not to touch it. :D

Brah, come on now. Grace is an "artisan" producer who doesn't have a standardized process like the B&J's of the world.
It's nice of her to even suggest macros for her pints, but if anyone reads those and believes that they have a reasonable degree of accuracy...I have some bad newz.
As always: be sensible, estimate, and breathe. We are all going to make it.

It's not because i'm watching my waistline. I was curious because he said it melted quickly.
I realise the label is just an estimate but it gives you an idea of the overrun.

Most of what I ordered (see above) was 330cal for 1/2 a cup serving. Don't know much more details than that at the moment. If I remember I'll look closer later and post something up.
anyone try out Snoqualmie Custard? I'm thinking it's a Pacific Northwest only company, but delicious nonetheless.

Overall: 8/10
Unfortunately, I don't have any other pumpkin flavored ice cream to compare it to. I've been looking for Talenti Pumpkin Pie, but I can't seem to find it. It's not overly spiced, which is good, but absolutely creamy enough. It gets really solid when put in the freezer, more so than other ice creams I've tried. Maybe custard gets more solid? Anywho, once it melts a little, it's delicious.
Would buy again.

I like that reasoning much better, however judging by reviews it seems that her product is at the super premium level.
My guess is that there are just some flavors which are quicker melters due to the components; in the same manner that Salted Crack and No Sleep Til Pumpkin show this deficiency despite AH's otherwise stellar consistency standard.

I can't remember because I've already finished the pint, but what DougyF7 said below has to be close, if not correct!

This is correct! My belief is that it is just a mix of the ingredients in the ice cream. I remember my "No Sleep Till Pumpkin" melting slightly faster as well. It just varies form pint to pint.. Overall though, I would say all of her pints are "softer" than others! Not a problem in my book at all, this particular pint was just way worse than the others!
Jo jo jo....so glad to have an Amazon Prime membership..

Hands down one of Salt & Straw’s best flavors! I absolutely love vanilla, so the thought of PB&J combined with vanilla had me excited.

However, the vanilla base takes a backseat to all of the mixin action taking place in this pint. Yeah, the base is extremely dense and creamy, but the vanilla flavor is hardly noticeable. That still didn’t stop this pint from being great though.

The peanut butter is thick and creamy. It sticks to your spoon, but is still somewhat runny. It is not rock hard at all, and is more along the lines of a swirl. The taste is fantastic. Imagine eating peanut butter straight from the jar and this is what we are working with here. I could have gone for a slightly saltier peanut butter, but this was still amazing.

The grape jelly wasn’t as thick or dark in color as I was expecting. It was scattered throughout, but I would definitely say this particular pint had more peanut butter than jelly. The grape jelly is fruity and extra sweet, just like it should be.

Salt & Straw nailed this one. The best way to describe this pint is equivalent to the taste of a classic peanut butter & jelly sandwich on white bread. All of the flavors mesh together extremely well and there isn’t much you can complain about with this pint. This is hands down one of their best flavors this year! A
