Just realize that I don't use qb winz, I believe they're a stupid Stat.
I do use coach wins though and how many years we been on here talking about Jason costing the team a game vs a good team?
Like those run pass splits I posted a while back, he turtles up in hostile territory, so scared of a mistake, trying to keep the game close. Which ends up magnifying the ONE mistake that happens bc you left yourself zero margin of error. Not to mention the clock management and other dick stepping he'd do at the end of said close games.
I'm just so, so happy he's finally ****ing gone and it SOUNDS like McCarthy learned the error of his ways bc he was a lot like Red at the end of his GB tenure.
I hope he doesn't regress to what's comfortable when it's time to put them on the table.
Leaning on passing tds when the HC had 70/30 run pass splits is unintentional cherry picking imo.

3rd down runs:

11.76%
correct me if I’m wrong , but doesn’t red have the 2nd most wins of all coaches in the last 4 years?
I don’t think looking at passing tds for a qb is intentionally misleading in any way
If I reference a running backs rushing tds, do you think it’s misleading that I’m not counting receiving tds as well?

Zeke is a product of volume stats.
Garrett won coach of the year in 2016 by playing 1994 football while a qb we all thought was just along from the ride was converting 47% of 3rd and longs.
The redzone offense of this team has been putrid outside of that lights out year Romo had in 2014(another wasted chance by Red) , the whole design and philosophy down there is trash.
Witten (y option) ate up a 30% target share down there.
2 dives
Y option
No score?
Kick.
Meanwhile your qb took Miss St to #1 in the nation with his feet
There's many reasons this team fell flat in 2019 and the qb is at the very bottom of that list.

There’s literally columns dedicated to just that on the qb stats page

Dak has really left us in a gray area due to his clutchness and big boy football play. Along with his inconsistency in moments. We can argue all day and night but we won't come to a true conclusion honestly. Let this year play out and we'll see what type of QB he is with 3 stellar WRs and a competent coach

Yep and the 70/30 run pass splits vs good teams regardless of qb for Red's tenure is a pretty good tell as to why they dip.
He's like fonzi in Waterboy when the scary man is across the field.
What sucks is we most likely won't even get a good feel this year if we even get football bc all the obvious reasons.

Here’s the trend
2016 - 4% less - linehan
2017 - 7% less - linehan
2018 - 15% less - linehan
2019 - 55% less - Moore
In all fairness, 2019 really messed up his td drop % and is somewhat an outlier, although the trend is there

^Looks like that stat translates well to the NFL

It's so, so hard for me not to set the bar entirely too high for him.
He's like my favorite wr prospect since ****ing around with the draft.

Didn't realize Marvin Harrison was so dominant in college.

We missed the Jamal Adams train.
Jets traded their best player and a future fourth-round pick to the Seahawks for two first-round picks (2021, ’22), a third-round pick in 2021 and safety Bradley McDougald, who likely will replace Adams as a starter.
That is WAYYY too rich. I see now why Dallas didn't make anything happen. Combine this haul with the fact that they need to pay Adams as well..... Seattle keeps trading away their 1st round picks............ they are lucky they have Russell to carry that team or they'd be fuked long term.

If I recall we were saying nah to the idea of 1st/3rd/Gallup....Jets fleeced 'em lol

Jets definitely won this trade. I would have been upset if Dallas gave up that much, 1st/3rd/Gallup was even too much.

We're good. If Wilson goes down, that team is so phukked.

I just read that no contract extension in 2020 is part of the trade deal, so they'll have to pay him in 2021, franchise tag, or let him walk.
Can you imagine if Seattle gave up that haul and let him walk? lol.

I'll never get used to the multiple colors of silver in the uniform. It's so odd.

Can't wait to see Ceedee tear defenses up, but doesn't it feel a little weird seeing a different face wearing 88? It might be the nostalgia but it's like Ceedee is an impostor to #88
inb4 kid breaks those records of irvin/dez

Cowboys signed Everson griffin, ex Viking
Fap fap fap

nice really changed up the defence. Cornerback is the liability but hopefully literally everyother position will compensate for that and diggs + lewis can step up. safety will be mediocre but dix is an upgrade from heath.
-
-
Love the Griffin signing. I hope this year goes off without any COVID problems, we made a lot of good moves this offseason.
-
Smart move...lot of "ifs", but potential for everything to click and this defense be nasty (front 7 at least)
-
McCarthy was a big selling point for Griffen. Apparently he had an offer from Seattle as well but Mike was the tie breaker.
