Here are some latin proverbs that I used as segment titles for a song on my solo album.
I. Dum Spiro, Spero *
II. Durate et Vosmet Rebus Servate Secundis **
III. Vincit qui se Vincit ***
"While I breathe, I hope" *
"Carry on and preserve yourselves for better times" **
"He conquers who conquers himself" ***

Yet you ARE an idiot. Latin =/= latino , he is talking about the language LATIN , as used in ancient rome and across the most of the Christianised world during the middle ages.

Gaius Julius Caeser
Marcus Aurelius
Ovid
Epictetus
Horace
Publilius Syrus
(Yes strong classics knowledge)
EDIT: Incase your too lazy or retarded here are some good ones I just searched FOR YOU.
“This is the very perfection of a man, to find out his own imperfections.”
Saint Augustine

Marcus Aurelius
“Anger: an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.”
Seneca
"Cowards die many times before their actual deaths."
Julius Caesar
“Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one.”
Marcus Aurelius
“Carpe diem! Rejoice while you are alive; enjoy the day; live life to the fullest; make the most of what you have. It is later than you think.”
Horace
Altissima quaeque flumina minimo sono labi - The deepest rivers flow with the least sound. (still waters run deep)
Amicus certus in re incerta cernitur - A true friend is discerned during an uncertain matter
An nescis, mi fili, quantilla sapientia mundus regatur? - Don't you know then, my son, how little wisdom rules the world?
Aquila non captat muscas - The eagle doesn't capture flies (don't sweat the small things)
Aut disce aut discede - Either learn or leave
Amat victoria curam - Victory favors those who take pains
faber est quisque fortunae suae
every man is architect of his own fortune
bis vincit qui se vincit in victoria
He conquers twice who conquers himself in victory (Publius Syrus)
candor dat viribus alas
Sincerity gives wings to strength
non est vivere sed valere vita est
Life is not being alive but being well (life is more than just being alive)
That's all purely google, right there

I'm sorry, but the highjackers overshadowed your quotes. Anyways, thanks. I'm looking for something shorter, but thanks anyways. I'll go look for myself.
My favorite is "audentes fortuna iuvet"
It means "fortune favors the bold," and it was originally said by Virgil
spelling could be wrong so don't get a tat without researching lol.

haha. Yeah. I've heard that before. I definitely want my tattoo in a dif. language though. I'm thinking either Latin, German, or Russian.
wow cant believe i was in before teh conipasion
"Latine loqui coactus sum."
^"I have this compulsion to speak Latin."
Hmmm
Thinking about focusing a lot more on my traps then getting this tattoo'ed on the left:
Iuguolo lemma totus.
and this on the right:
Iuguolo lemma totus. Deus mos teneo suus own.
When it's all one phrase it's "Kill them all. God will know his own." in latin. I used a translator... can anyone confirm the validity of it?
