Well . . . we'll have to see where this goes, but Douglas county is me and my 2 main gyms are here. Have seen some communications from the gyms on what they were planning and it's pretty similar. Limited, spaced out equipment, heightened sanitizing, limited capacity allowed at one time, locker rooms closed, etc. 24 hour is supposedly doing online/app reserved time and wireless check-in, so you can sign up for a time to work out up to I think a week in advance.

The state health department granted Douglas County a variance to the state's safer-at-home order that goes into effect immediately.
According to the request from the county, gyms would need 120 square feet for each person inside. Customers must stay 6 feet apart and immediately sanitize any equipment they use. Locker rooms would remain closed.
My gym is only open when it is inconvenient for me to get there. I talked to their “program director” and the new hours are in place for the foreseeable future. Felt bad canceling, but not that bad.

Yeah . . . we'll have to see where this all leads. Honestly, at my main gym at 5am it was probably always at COVID-approved social distancing levels (in terms pf people there) before this all started. So hoping it can get that way again pretty quickly. Although I'm guessing it might be just like New Years when they do open up and everyone will be trying to go at all hours thinking the same thing.
I'll monitor and see how it plays out. I don't really have the space/setup to put in a rack and lot of weights right now--not that availability is good anyway.
I need to see more reviews and tests with the Geissele rifles. A lot of their proprietary coatings and stuff seem gimmicky. It’s really all about the barrel and I want to see how good that is. A lot of people have been posting pics of terrible finishes and iffy fit and finish but I don’t know, I don’t have one.
They have like $160 slings out now too lol.
eh, most of the people posting what they proclaim is going to be a terrible pic ends up being something perfectly normal/good and we're like...dude that looks just right lol
I have two and they are completely perfect in fit and finish and assembly. 'course, I got both at 35% off or else I wouldn't.
Do wish I saved that 35% coupon for an 11.5" Super Duty Pistol, I really didn't expect them to make that when I bought the 10.3" duty pistol lol

That's one of my best ever firearm deals. That was a great deal (like $620 for a Colt 6920 with free float centurion m-lok rail and low pro gas block). So was an FNS-40 full size with 3 mags and night sights for $320 at PSA several years ago. The like $250 Shields with rebate. A like $330 M&P 2.0 Compact on Black Friday. Geissele Super Duty complete rifle for $1,190 in DDC on black friday. Blue label Glocks with GSSF multi year membership, talking like $425 for a Gen5 with Ameriglo night sights.
Speaking of deals, here is a pretty good one. Full size. But M&P 2.0 for $370

I won't count deals I've gotten since I've been in the gun industry, because that's not fair, but that Colt deal is a standout.
How is the trigger on the M&P 2.0? Does it need to be Apex'd right off the bat or is it ~CZ/HK/Walther quality?

For me, they need apex, because they break too far to the rear. But other than that or if that's not an issue for you, they are slightly better than Glock and not as good as vp9/ppq. So overall not that great I buy an apex for every one, have yet to modify any other poly pistol trigger.
But of course their ergos and grip texture are better than glock and bore axis and size/capacity better than vp

There are a few I have used. This one is good because it will fit any holster, even super-wide double clip designs like the original stealthgear onyx/ventcore on a full size pistol, and/or it will fit spare mags, cash, keys, whatever...comes with holes in the bottom so it's easy to screw/bolt it down to a piece of furniture or whatever, and it's 'built like a tank'. It would also fit two holstered handguns at the same time. I've had mine for 7 years now. No electronics or batteries or any of that failure prone stuff. Also no key backup (more secure, but, might be more secure from yourself if you forget combo)
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004H6MKI8
I have a couple of these, they've been good. No electronics, do have a keyed backup.
https://www.shotlock.com/handgun
The Vaultek stuff is high quality, but expensive. I have one of these and I like that it has over 19 million possible combinations plus it will lock you out for a time with too many failed attempts. The one I linked first only has like 1,000 or so possible combinations and you can try them indefinitely since it's mechanical, that means in like two minutes you could literally get like a 1% chance of opening it. FOR ME, considering I want these well into the future, when it's possible kids, my kids or other people's kids, might be able to stand there and punch numbers to try to open it...a 1% chance of accessing a loaded handgun through dumb luck in a couple minutes is kind of unacceptable, which is where electronics really shine...huge possible combo quantity (esp this one with 8 digits (1-8) and you can program different lengths of combos and it locks out with failures. It also lights up the buttons so you can see the numbers when you get your hand close to it (without having to touch it), and can be set to silent button presses, and is spring loaded so it pops open, and locks automatically when you close it (the two above you can close, but forget to lock, potentially)

Seem to be, but hasn't been a ton of reliable info. Informal and just 'this guy shot his' they've been pretty good.
I'll try to get mine onto a rest at 100 with mk262 before long

We had to put down our dog today. He was a 13 year old cocker spaniel and the sweetest dog ever. His heart started giving out a couple months ago and we had to start giving him lasix. Last Sunday he took a turn for the worse and the vet said there was one other medicine to try and give it a couple days. We gave it to him and it didn't help. At night he couldn't hardly lay down and just struggled to breathe all night. He was suffering and we didn't have any choice. Chit sucks. I built him a coffin last Sunday when he took the turn and we buried him at my mother in law's house by his litter mate that died in August

My .02
If she doesn't have kids, she's better off leaving it holstered in a place she can easily access. If the people she hangs around with are the issue, they're going to be an issue even if the gun is in a safe.

Same way a fixed front sight base doesn't. It blocks some lower view at low power or unmagnified, just like a front sight base would, and then it burns away when you turn up the magnification of a variable and you don't see it any more

Rogue indeed.
BTW, for anyone wondering, the effect of an object in front of the objective lens of a scope (or a binocular for that matter) is that it reduces the light coming into that image by the ratio of the size of the obstruction relative to the size of the unobstructed field of view. Having an object (like a flashlight or FSP) in the way of an optic will reduce the amount of light coming to an optic, and make it appear dark faster, but will not obstruct the image.

Unless it's unmagnified or an LPVO on a low setting, like a 1-x on an AR set to 1x, in which case it obstructs
