If you have been told by a qualified medical professional to lose weight then follow their advice (and only their advice).
All you really need to do is work hard in the gym and eat regular meals consisting of protein rich whole foods and vegetables - and results will come. Please feel free to post in other forum sections for advice on training and programs etc.
