holy hell. there can be no depth discussion on this one.
Good god man. That is amazing. He looks so in control even though he has 1000 lbs on his back.
I really hope to see him get 490 kgs (1080 lbs) at this comp and win it. It was a bummer that he lost out to Yarymbash after training so hard, and apparently only getting 20 lbs out of his squat suit.
Then I hope he'll go back to squatting raw and do 455-460kgs!

Is that the biggest weight ever handled for a double single ply?
He switched from the Centurion to the TRX and got heeled shoes
I think he'll squat a new single ply world record but he won't beat Yarymbash in total
That made my day. I was hoping to see some blood come spewing out of his nose.
those look the safe squat shoes that hooper wears, they have a modest heal at best and interesting that he switched to a trx.

How much was Capt Kirk K squatting for 2 in that old video? It was something similar.

1003 i believe
I think it was 5kg less, possibly the best two squatters ever.
wow, he might of had a 3rd in him
1003 i believe
1000.

A great friend of mine gave him the back spot on that set
In an interview he said he didn't like how hard the centurion is

interesting I have never tried anything from inzer but alot of big time lifters use there stuff(generally they are sponsered but whatever) After nationals it may be time to hit up inzer and see if there stuff is any good.

Super Cent is stronger and thicker no doubt but obviously some people must like the trx more. Trx is much easier to use and still get a lot out of if you don't have good gear technique, which Malan isn't exactly a knees out shins perpendicular kinda guy
Looks weird to see him with shiny white shoes.

No Homo?
I'm pretty sure the chick in the background can outsquat me :(
Insane weight, but those squats were sky high

He usually makes them count in competition though

Wait... when did malan start using heeled shoes?

Why is that a bummer? Does Yarymbash not train hard? Malan is the greatest squatter in the world but Yarymbash is (imo) a better powerlifter and will probably win again this year.
I want Malan to take the single ply and raw records for sure though, he's one of my 2 favorite lifters

He said in an interview that he was upgrading to heels and switching from Titan Super Centurion to TRX because Super Cent was too hard

I should have been specific: not a bummer for PLing, but a bummer for Malan.
Yarymbash is a far better equipped lifter, and Malan is trailing him considerably on bench, so you are probably right.
holy hell. there can be no depth discussion on this one.
YOu must not have seen videos from Cup of Titans before? They are extremely tight on judging squat depth. (except for yarymbash's last squat)

Fair enough man! As long as nobody gets hurt Super Cup of Titans is never a bummer for PL, arguably the best meet in the world imo
YOu must not have seen videos from Cup of Titans before? They are extremely tight on judging squat depth. (except for yarymbash's last squat)
In international meets the greater the stage the stricter the judging it seems
Here it is, the first robin! First driving video of Andrei Malanicheva this year! And as they say in a well-known transfer "and immediately a shock!" 460 kg to 2 times, and opponents already have something to think about.
A month before the start of Malanitchev goes to the "underground", trying to minimize the live chat and telephone. The whole life revolves around training. "Iron World," failed to make contact with an athlete, but one of his coaches Maxim Korotkov agreed to talk a bit about the last touches of preparation of the ward.
- Maxim, this is the first video training Andrew this year. Why the secrecy?
- Andrew does not want to reveal all the cards to the training event and trying not to attract attention. Video squats should not appear on the network. The approach shot without asking permission. On a bench in front of the room sat a lot of people, someone secretly pressed the "record".
- 460h2 - part of a training plan or improvisation?
- This is an extreme workout squats in front of "Titans." Penetrations have decided not to do. At this training plan to sit down 460h3. With Andrew agreed that the two times he crouches steadily, and the third - on well-being. He sat down, I think, well, the second bit of repetition of a tall - the new kombez has become a close. Andrew got a "bad" weight - 142 kg, it is necessary to drive up to 137 kg.
- Extreme workout bench and deadlift have already done?
- Bench was thrust doing this Friday. 400 - at least then - how it goes.
- The initial weight of the "Super-Cup of Titans 2012" - the secret information?
- No. We start as in the past year. 470-300-390/400. Next we will look at. If the first approach we squat, we want to immediately add 20 kg to skip the third approach.
Seems to acknowledge that the 2nd is high. Kombez means suit btw
He's a mutant(I mean that with the upmost respect)

The late Dave Pasanella apparently did 1045 X 3, but definitely not as deep as Malanichev.
lol at those being high squats. Some of you guys probably require Oly depth to give greens.
