Yeah, it's 2.5" wide.

The 5/8" version works on both Infinity and Monster-Lite (which is 3" tubing), so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a little larger than 2", even though the specs on the web page say it's 2" wide.
In other Infinity news, I noticed the Infinity safety arms are now 11-gauge. When I bought my SML-2 last year and was deciding between the two product lines, the Infinity's were supposedly 7-gauge.
I wonder if that was a design tradeoff. At first I didn't realize how simple Rogue's design is. When you look at it it's just four pieces of metal, two of which are identical, and these little welds:

Maybe it's 2.5" because the welds wouldn't fit if it was only 2"?
you are the first I have seen a picture of them taking off the back stop bolts on the monolift. do you like the free swing, or to swing it back more?
Swing it back more. That was the first time I used it, so I'm still playing around with where I like it as far as positioning goes. For some reason I feel weird squatting so close to the uprights, as I usually take a pretty big step back.
The center of the barbell as it sits right there is 9" from the uprights, with the free swing I can get another 2-3" out of it away, and its no more difficult to lean into.
For some reason I feel weird squatting so close to the uprights, as I usually take a pretty big step back.
I've been wondering if that will be my issue as well.
I've been wondering if that will be my issue as well.
Assuming you're still going with mine (I know it's long), neutral bar is 10.5" from upright. After that, it can swing back another 6".
Course I am. But I know you're swamped. Especially since we allowed our American brethren access to you! I meant it when I said get to what you need to. Take care of what has to be done. Not to say I am not stoked or anything (can't wait for the damn thing - maybe I'll get two for both ends!!!) but I've had a few personal hiccups pop up myself to keep me out of the garage some.
I've been wondering if that will be my issue as well.
I was worried about that too.
I clipped the swing arm on the way up two or three times in the beginning but that was because I had the monolift mounted a little too low. Once you figure out where it needs to be mounted and where you need to stand you'll find that you have to be leaning quite a bit forward, a lot of weight on your toes forward, at the top of the rep to hit it. Once I realized that I stopped worrying and I've gone hundreds of reps without issue since.

To be fair the big orders I'm shipping these days have been in discussion since december. Getting out from under a backlog. Almost there, patience...

Ok ya i see, when I talked to rogue they said that they made that bolt removable for people to do that, but never saw someone that posted pictures do that.

I think the swing the way they made it was because they wanted to get it to work with the racks with the 24"cross members, as I put it in my short side of the RML-690 and it fits well, if it was further out for a longer swing it probably wouldnt work in there.

shouldnt this be in the Mech crew thread and not the Rogue barbell club thread, unless your saying how much better rogue's quick shipping is, haha.
I have a Rogue Ohio bar, a squat stand with the pull-up bar and spotters, flat bench, dip attachment and dip belt, and a deadlift mini-jack.
I might get the conversion kit that upgrades the stand to a full rack soon, and right now I'm considering either a GHD or adjustable bench. I think some glute-ham raises would do better for me than the ability to do incline presses.

Their shipping is awesome honestly.
Yeah, I'd have loved to order one of yours Mech, but I wanted it pretty immediately because I'm impatient, and I'm kinda OCD and like my stuff to match lol. I ordered this on the 4th, and it arrived on the 8th (the 4th being a Saturday). Rogue definitely has great shipping, and great CS. Plus, no offense, but I like made In the USA stuff. Go 'Merica and such.
Reserving my number spot #998 now.
I just ordered the following. Should be here in a few days.
Rogue SML-1 Squat Stand
Rogue SAML-24 Spotter Arms
Rogue Ohio Power Bar (Bare Steel)
Rogue Flat Utility Bench
In the end, I had to buy American. I also was impressed with the quickness in which they responded to my questions, and not by prewritten chain letters.
Gonna hold out hope I can purchase 600lbs. of York American casted plates somewhere for a decent price.

Did you go with the SML-1 due to height constraints?
You should consider making an HR-1 (70x70) out of it. I really like my HR-2 (90x90).

Ultimately, yes. My ceiling is only 80 inches and the wife said the carpet stays, which excludes anchoring into the cement floor. I also don't do pull ups, so the SML-1 allows for a legit platform to be put underneath the stand. I also prefer seated OHP's to standing.
As far as converting to a HR-1, I'm not really interested. I would consider it glorified plate storage at the 70in. height. Maybe if the conversion kit included a pull up bar at the top to help side to side sway.

Lots of crossmembers you could choose from.

If you went with the XML-43 you could add hooks for bands and chains.

Well there was the cost factor too. For all those suggestions, I could have just went ahead and dropped the $900 they wanted for a custom chopped RML-390F power rack.
I did think about it, but ultimately had to remember that this home set up is supposed to be a back up gym for when I don't feel like driving to my brothers gym where I work/work out normally.
im waiting pando's post which will probably break the internet.

In on this. Have some bars and bumpers I've acquired over the past few months. Planning on getting a new rack on Black Friday.
Will take some pics later this week.
Still relocating my kids stuff, but I assembled all the parts today.

Here is a size comparison. I clock in around 5'9" and 280lbs. And the space I'm in has an 80" ceiling height.
