Is it dumb to wear a shirt of the brewery that you visit?
I went to a couple breweries with my brother today and someone was wearing a shirt of the brewery we were at. I thought it was the dumbest thing ever I don't know why lol. If I was the beertender/server at a brewery, I think it would be cooler to see customers wear shirts of other breweries.
that's fuktarded. I was at Burial last weekend and this asshat is the loudest dude in the joint AND he literally doesn't stop talking the 20 ish minutes I'm there. What's he wearing? A gotdamn treehouse sweater. EAD loser.
Three Floyds Gumballhead has become one of my favorite IPAs, perfect for a warm sunny day with the lighter body. So good
Sorry, but I think that beer sucks. At least it isn't a fuggin hazy IPA though
You should see how saturated the haze market is here in Chicago. 75% of them are way below average
Many hazy IPAs I had in chicago suuuuukkked. I think Hop Butcher had the best "win" rate than any other haze brewery while I was there, and I'd say Mars was pretty reliably solid too. But I REALLY enjoyed the non haze IPAs from Sketchbook in Evanston. Their Day Game and Night Game were some of the best OG style IPAs I've had since pre haze days and it was refreshing to see a 4pk of beer with pricetag of $12 that is not from Toppling Goliath.

I really miss the piney tasting IPAs, hazy IPAs are fine, but I’ll have one every few weeks. It seems like even the ones that were piney tasting toned that down some

Pine/resin bombs suck bros. Sketchbook IPAs are mostly citrusy but not shytty azz haze bombs. Little to no bitterness too.

That feeling of IPA nostalgia when you find a fresh Bell's 2 hearted and Jai Alai on the shelf.

Not a huge fan of the pine bombs. If you want to taste pine, chew on a 2 x 4.

Agree to disagree on that, I love them so much
-
Tons of piney ipas out. Some of the Civils I’ve had lately are juicy af with some nice piney notes and plenty of hops. All you need is enough mosaic to get some decent pine.
-
what up guys! agreed that my love of HAZY IPA's has driffted, everyone around here is making a hazy and 98% of them suck. i will say though the different variants of hops being used is nice to see. loved CITRA when i started, but SABRO hops have won me over. that toasted coconut flavor is just amazing.

sup ya craft beer connseueirs?
Picked up some Modelo Especial for the first time, to pair with some greesy mezzican food. Left it in the truck overnight, and is hot. about to pop the top off one and sip. Warm beer crew!

I was at a wedding several weeks ago and had my first Heineken in probably 10 years or so.
It was surprisingly better than I had expected it to be.
Pilsner Urquell is my favorite lager/pilsner beer.

Is this hard seltzer chit here to stay or just a fad/trend like Zima?

I don't think they're going anywhere soon. They still seem pretty popular, and it seems like a new one is popping up constantly.

I will say it’s a nice change up during outdoor season when playing, beer is too heavy after a few and I feel even slower than I already am

Looks like Toppling Goliath is in Texas. Anything I should be looking for?
Looks like Toppling Goliath is in Texas. Anything I should be looking for?
Pseudo Sue or King Sue and VERY fresh cans. Less than 5w fresh.
All their others ones like Sun Reaper and Sotus etc are ok at best.

King Sue, Supa Sumo, All the Pseudo versions are done well
They just did a collab with Hop Butcher, Hot Dog Time Machine

King Sue is good to try once for the hype. In Ohio, it's about $18.99 for a four-pack.
Pseudo Sue is my actually my preference. It's relatively easy to find fresh cans here, and it goes for $11.99 a four-pack, which I think is very fair.

Any of you home brew? I’ve always wanted to. How hard is it? I live in a single bedroom condo without a garage, could I still homebrew?

I used to long ago. The biggest issue is probably sanitation and cleanliness. You have to be really anal about keeping everything sanitized to avoid contamination and off flavors. Unless you like sours and saisons I guess then whatever. It's easier if you have a big outdoor boiler, but you can do it stovetop. Other than that you really just need room for a couple 5 gallon buckets.

Some great beers in Raleigh looking at homes. First two are Burial and the beautiful haze they brew. Next is some Funguys and a Burial stout. We tried Altered State for the first time, nice Key Like Pie sour. Tastes as described, delicious. And you can’t miss that New Anthem haze, up there with some of the best in the country.

I dont know how you guys drink IPAs.
They give me the worse bitter beer face.
I've been drinking a lot of Nano Brews from a local place here. They make an excellent Hefeweizen and a Passionfruit Sour which is amazing. Its called Parlor City Brewing
