Blues r trash
pretty incredible how trash the Canucks play and they still win games. the system is basically running up the ice to score goals, then not doing anything until the other team scores more goals, then back to running up the ice. it's like watching a braindead version of the Capitals.
the taylor hall curse
Can't carry a whole team by himself every year. I thought the Subban addition would help them a lot but aparently he's washed up now.
Somebody is going to overpay for Hall.
Both on the trade and contract.
i think lafreniere vs. byfield has the potential to get a little bit interesting, although end of the day lafreniere will be the first pick. it reminds me a lot of hall vs. seguin. extremely polished winger that has had a ton of success in junior vs. a center that showed an insane amount of growth in his draft year, and theoretically has a higher ceiling.
it's funny to watch highlights of them tho. byfield reminds me a lot of a player like mackinnon, where you can watch them once and realize what makes them so good. for mackinnon it's his skating and puck control, but with byfield it's his size/skating combo. guy looks like a monster out there with the puck on his stick. with lafreniere it's a lot more subtle, he almost looks unimpressive at times, but it's just because he's relying on his hockey IQ. it's a lot like kucherov. easily the closest nhl comparable i think.

There have been so many bad contracts handed out to players that are over 30 that just fall off a cliff, GM's have to be getting scared to pay the money they are commanding. Hall has had a lot of injuries in his career that would lead me to believe his career after 30 is never going keep up with the game. Maybe he can thrive in the right system though.

i dont wanna say Byfield is going to end up like malkin, but it seems the size and playstyle match well.
Dallas coach Jim Montgomery fired for "unprofessional misconduct" very vague obviously, but I'm sure it will come out within time.
Apparently, it has nothing to do with his past or verbal abuse to players on the stars. It has to do something he did that was within the dallas stars organisation.
Hookers and blow? Cameo by Kuznetsov? Shame they were playing really well under him finally had some sort of defensive structure.
I have a friend with a weak anonymous source that said he banged a Stars Ice Girl.

Very alpha as fuk
probably banged a player's wife as a babcock-like coaching tactic. that'd be alpha

They are so frustrating to watch. I want a team that out works and roughs up teams.

I dunno if that counts as a Stars employee

sometimes in life, the hardest decisions are the toughest.
...yes.

that didn't happen tonight
goddamn Myers contract shaping up to be Eriksson 2.0. except this time around is extra infuriating because Myers has never remotely been worth the money
I hear there may be party favors involved as well as the original detail.
Again, potentially weak source.

Sucks if true but I that stuff is not uncommon in the sports world form my understanding. Monty was one of the best players to ever play at UMaine and was on one of the most dominant teams in all of NCAA Hockey with Kariya.

If the team's President is smart he'll pull a "Trump."
"I really didn't know him that well. He only worked here for a short time. I think he got me coffee a couple of times."

In Canada a 'party favor' is when the Host's wife gives you a handjob while you're waiting in line to use the outhouse. Although we pronounce it 'oothouse' in Canada.
Envisioning a huge game for Kyle Connor tonight. I know I know it's the Red Wings. How about Hellebuyck though...Finally playing to that contract.
In b4 it's a trap game

Seems like the Pens' worst enemy is the injury bug.

This is why I only bang higher up. I won't be the one getting the axe.

Wizard!
Hall might get traded to the Yotes mid game
Tons of Pens pundits calling for JJ and Rust to be packaged traded over the summer, dudes have been holding the Pens together single (double?) handedly since Sid's been out.
Also lol at Kopitar being awarded a penalty shot for getting a love tap on the right cheek.
