I've never had any tests done other than routine checkups and routine ear-nose-throat checkups. And nothing since I was a kid.
It never feels like a balance thing. No room spinning or anything. Just get really really really nauseous, triggered by cars, trains, planes, boats, elevators, escalators, home movies, etc. etc. etc.
Could be BPPV that's when the cyrstals in your ear get dislodged (just a guess)
there are certain things that trigger it like getting out of bed from a lying position to sitting, sudden head movements as well as escalators.
There is no reason for you to live like this you need to see a balance specialist your PC won't know **** about this.
Just so you know.....vestibular function and testing is within Audiologists' scope of practice
....and you happen know know a couple audiologists :)
I didn't even know I had a vestibule til today... I knew I had a corridor, an entranceway, and a lobby though!

But I'm totally fine when I'm doing the driving myself, or when I'm on solid ground.

Look up balance specialist for vestibular disorders in your area, unfortunatly they are not to common.
I emailed my co worker your symptoms waiting for reply, I see this every day sometimes exercises are given to bring on symptoms in order to retrain the brain but it depends on the case.

Thanks! I'll check my insurance plan and see what pops up!

Reply from co worker.
Motion sickness is caused by a mismatch of sensory stimuli with the brain not being able to prioritize the sensory information and this conflict causes motion sickness. One can try doing sensory stim although it is hard to treat. Usually having the person focus on one sense will reduce symptoms

Does that mean I shouldn't bother having my vestibule cleaned?
I found a specialist nearby who does these: General Balance Retraining, Geriatrics/Elderly Fallers, Neuro-Rehab, Orthopedic Rehab, Vestibular Assessment , Vestibular Rehab
Not sure how relevant that is :(

Most likely they do but call and ask if they deal with specific vestibular disorders.
Ether way it can't hurt to get an evaluation.

Been going through some some stuff so I have a feeling I will be enduldging to help me cope, I can always tell when I'm going to be successful with my diet it's all in my head.
Now is not the best time and I would kidding myself if I tried.
-
Great job Mada!!! I'll be going up to about 75-80 tonight for a single, then no more heavy snatches until this weekend. We'll see how everything stands tonight, but I won't go above 80, no matter how things feel!
Good luck with the motion sickness issue, I'll be reading to see what it is also.

Well then don't even try! In my limited experience, whenever I TRY to diet when I know I'm not emotionally prepared, I do much worse than if I just let myself eat whatever I want...

Update from vestibular person:
"Usually for dizziness, you will need to check with the neurologist or ENT to find out the reason or the cause. Then our treatment will be more specific.
There are different treatments for peripheral vs. central problems, depending on the cause of your dizziness."
So it looks like I'll have to see an ENT first, to get a diagnosis regarding the motion sickness, and then get a prescription to use at a vestibular person, if that ends up being relevant.

Yes, that's the protocol we have neurologist that you see for the initial visit and if it's vestibular based they will refer you to a specialist.

I guess that makes sense and is one of the few cases that I actually think seeing multiple people makes sense in this silly health care system y'all have down here.
Dinner
Large mixed green salad with a sliced hard-boiled egg, 5 grilled scallops seasoned with salt and pepper and a splash of lemon juice, with sesame seeds sprinkled over everything.
Hungry again already. Will snack healthily in a bit.
