Creatine while cutting?
The title mainly says it, whats the thoughts on creatine while cutting. By cutting, i mean im overweight and trying to lose fat(not just slimming down to a certain body fat percentage). Im currently 225, 5'9-5'10. I've cleaned up my diet, started research all the healthy ways of eating and Im working out 3-4 times a week +cardio. Also any other suplements you suggest to use/stay away from, or any tips in general are always welcome.
Cheers guys, and happy st.patty's to everyone tomorrow!

I wouldnt take creatine while cutting because it might make you retain water which is excess weight until ur off it. Plus it makes you look bloated
-
creatine is a must while cutting IMO. While cutting, you want to maintain your strength as best you can in an effort to preserve as much muscle mass as possible. Creatine can help with that.
Most people only gain a few lbs in water weight, if anything at all, which will have zero impact the actual fat you lose.

Would Kre-Alkalyn essentially do the same thing without the bloat?

go with MAN Orotine if you are looking for a good creatine that does not cause the bloat issue you're trying to avoid.

Creatine has never made me bloat. I take it year round when cutting or bulking. I'm on creatine in my avi and I'm a tad leaner now. I honestly look really dry and would only come off of it if I needed to be completely dried out for some reason.

IMO no. The bloat is way overhyped anyway.

ive never experienced any bloating from creatine mono.no need to load.just take 5g daily and you're good.go for either ON or Allmax.if money isnt an issue then buy clout.very very good product imo
-
I take creatine specifically for the bloat
OP search function, key words "Creatine cutting", profit
-
I've taken micronized creatine mono for almost 2 straight years and have had no bloat or water retention issues. During those times, I've cut and bulked.
I've also always drank 1-2 gallons of water a day.

Also no one touched on the 2nd part, is there any other suplements you feel would be good while I'm trying to lose weight?!

Just be sure to hit your protein minimum, get plenty of rest, and stay in a consistent moderate caloric deficit. Obviously fish oils and a quality multi-v are recommended no matter the circumstance.
I suppose you could look into beta alanine and see how you feel about it.

Get bulk beta alanine, do 2 separate dose of 1.6-2g for a total of 3.2-4g daily, it works well with creatine and will increase endurance once you on it for a couple of weeks, to me the effects were very noticeable. Just go with the bodybuilding brand as it's the cheapest you'll find anywhere and will last you for a loooonnngggg time. Also there is always 10% code floating around so it'll make it even cheaper.

i would keep the creatine in in the beginning of your cut. then when your really leaned down cut out most of your supplements all together.
-
I'v been taking creatine during my cut, so far i'v lost 10kg's. I'd be more concerned about salt rather than creatine if you worrying about water retention.

Water retention caused by sodium has more to do with balance IIRC. Take in a lot of sodium? Drink a lot of water. Done.
Honestly it's pointless to try and manipulate water weight, as soon as it drops it will come right back. Unless you have a specific time/purpose for being momentarily lighter/dryer (photoshoot, show, weigh-in) it really serves no purpose IMO.
-
Once again you guys are bosses! Keep it coming! I'm gonna read into Beta-Alanine, not that I don't trust you but I always like to read up and get educated on these things! Respect! Once again, I'd rep all of you guys if I could!
Unfortunatly I can't buy the Bodybuilding brand since I'm from Canada, so it really doesn't pay off for me, I gotta go pay the expensive store prices lol

Scratch that, somehow my reps just went to green! Cheers to whoever did it, not that I was trying to get that out of this. Can I find out who did it so I can rep them back!? Also to those who brought up Beta-Alanine, I looked it up and it looks like a great addition! I will most likely purchase it today or tomorrow, and we'll see the results. Thanks again guys, happy St.Patty's day, Cheers!

Look up dosing for optimal results for beta-alanine.

high creatine will retain water in your muscle cells because it needs to replace the atp's you lose after training the more creatine the better repair, just make sure load up correctly and maintain your water levels for your height i'd say 6 pints a day min! also i noticed in your pic you play football after a few weeks it makes your legs feel heavy when playing so be prepared for a few slower games. but saying that its almost summer and you can cut down till new season on it
make sure you cycle the creatine 3 months on 1 off or you'll adapt to it and it won't work as well. good luck on your diet mate.

Holy bro-science!, Creatine isn't going to make your legs feel heavier, nor do you need to load or cycle creatine, just take 3-5 grams daily. if you feel bloated its not because of the creatine, its more than likely what you've eaten. again...if your worried about bloat, research carb cycling.
Creatine should be a staple of your daily supps, along with a multi, fish oil, and a protein supp if you aren't getting enough through your diet. a good cheap creapture creatine is allmax...and if your reeeeeeally that concerned about it, get Kre-Alkalyn, but your way over thinking this.
