What if I told you. . that, financial markets don't react rationally to our logical understanding of economics markets (which are fueled by supply/demand) and thus almost every exogonous causal relationship we've ever thought to be true, in fact, wasn't.
I’d tell you that I’ve read that book as well.

Boeing puts? Creeping closer to 52 week low
I really didn't think people were so stupid until twitter came out. No wonder the global elites feel they can literally play all of us like fiddles. This WW3 hashtag is the dumbest chit I've ever seen.
FAA clears the MAX and Boeing will jump $50 in one day.
Now Is time to average in on long dated calls

When is this potentially happening?

I think there is a short term spike upwards of retail trying to do exactly what you said ^ then even more shares get sold as everyone realizes that all the max orders got canceled and everyone bought alternatives instead of waiting 1-2 years for the planes.
EDIT: myron poots from vietcong. Could easily see a BIG downward move off some stupid announcements in either the middle east, the prez, or Euro doing something silly.
Honest to gawd though, I was hoping when Iraq voted to remove US troops I was hoping to high fuq that it was Trump's endgame and he would say "OK", pull all troops out, and send a notice bill to Iraq for the bases kept there. Time to end our silly war over there and be done with it. We are no longer reliant on their oil. The economy is now global- if certain countries no longer give us oil there are others that will take their place, but even now we are a net exporter so no one cares.

Then I ask you again, why are we buying puts on S&P when VIX futures are in contango?
Nice though. Don’t run into people who read Prechter very often.

Saw a rumor they are meeting in the coming week/weekend in seattle to go over the MAX and hopefully work towards finalizing things. Everything I've seen is indicating some sort of resolution in Jan/Feb.
I've been a fan of BA over the past few months and traded it a few times. Way I see it is two outcomes: option 1) max is finally cleared within next 1-2 months and Boeing shoots up to $400+, or option 2) MAX is completely chit canned, boeing stock crashes to sub $200 and sends the economy into great recession 2.
Boeing is the #1 DOW component I really don't see the FAA, govt, big monies letting it fail but you never know

this market is bonkers,

I was feeling super bullish on it for awhile before I realized how much diluting they were doing. Oh well I didn't risk much and at some point someone will probably start pumping marijuana again. I feel bad for the brahs who had like 50-70% of their portfolios in MJ.

This. Nobody cares about having more landmass anymore. You think WW2 fought in today's climate where Greece and the rest of Eastern Europe are all chit with their pensions, Hitler would want to be involved with taking them over? Nope.

I sold my puts at market open for some gainz. I had a feeling the markets would pump after futures were down so much. Market is in full bull mode too dangerous for puts. I think ill stick to just earnings plays for a while.

What companies are your eyes on for earnings?
I think i am going to take the risk on boeing today and see if i can sneak in low 330s and cross my fingers.

Tesla hitting another all time high today. fking unreal. knew it would be a good investment, just didn't expect to happen so quickly. wish i had more to drop on it at the time fuarkk either way u mirn??! dat percentage

sorry for chitty pic if you don't know ameritrade.. basically dropped $15k on Tesla roughly 7 months back? currently valued at $27.5k, for a gain of $12.5k on a $15k investment. dat dere 84% short term ROI in what i considered to even be a safe bet, i'm stingy and like to play it safe lol.

^myron. Ever since it hit $380 I saw the short squeeze coming, but I figured it would lose steam around $420-430. I think 1/3 of short positions have been covered as of 12/15 (as a % of float was running around 30%) and I have to imagine another 1/3 at least will have covered by the time we see the numbers again I imagine short interest as a % of float will be down to almost 10%. I would love to try buying puts but Tsla does whatever it wants and could just keep climbing.

nice gains spaghet
i exited tesla yesterday up 10% and got in on a dip this am.
also fookin amazon keeps bouncing off 1900 so annoying

Do not underestimate the power of the bears on a pure cash burn. I like Tesla as a very long term play. But, let's not forget they're still hemorrhaging cash every single day.

Im seeing a lot of tech companies reporting on da week of the 21st. Probably will sell Netflix options for their earnings since they always go for insane premiums.
