Subbed, starting UD2 tomorrow. Ive done it multiple times before so I know whats up
Check out my log.
GL bro.
Great progress thus far. INSANE low-carb eats.
-
so
finishing my 3rd cycle today which means im about halfway trough
very happy with my progress so far, UD 2.0 is awesome
Carb load worked well once again, normal weight rebound but a slight fat increase(about 1 day worth of cutting)
one thing I try out next time is a lower fat intake, it is really tough to keep it in the 50g range while consuming 800g - 1000g carbs but it might give better results, we will see
the power workout yesterday was amazing once again, Squat and Bench PR WOW!
Sore as hell today and not looking forward to the depletion workout tomorrow at all(it will be miserable for sure :( ).
The change-over from huge calorie surplus + 2 maintance days to HUGE deficit is very, very tough and requires a lot of dicipline and will power but fortunately im very ambitious and giving up is never in my mind really.
Big onset of Winter last few days so I prolly substiute my cardio days for skiing :p

Great to hear you're committed to 6 weeks...will love to see your results. What has been your weight loss for the past 3 weeks? Or have you taken measurements if so any improvements?

165lbs starting weight
159lbs now after carb load
about 154lbs glycogen depleted

Yeah, your last two carb loads look like they "took" better than the first on that there graph.
But the preceding bulk looks pretty impressive on that graph, when taken in conjunction with your bodyfat being relatively in-check at the end.

depletion workout was indeed miserable like always(dizziness again but almost no nausea this time yeah!) I did look ridiculous pumped tho haha(
Hunger isnt much of a problem, the Adrenalean keeps it reasonably in line
something very odd tho, my pinky and ring finger is completely numb
no idea wtf is going on

I am about to start second week/cycle tomorrow.....god I hate those depletion days. Its not even the diet its the crazy ass workout that gets to me.
Don't know about your fingers...actually after my second depletion workout last week my fingers were sore as well. Guess it is all the gripping you do the entire workout for tons of reps. I don't know. Maybe just coincidence for both of us.
-
2nd depletion workout was a huge pain in the ass because my pinky and half of the ring finger are still numb
I googled around a bit and it seems like i damaged my Ulnar nerve
FML
Will def go do a doctor tomorrow but it seems like there is not much he can do
on the positive side, I look lean as hell today :)
-
oh and if you're having troubled keeping the fat low on the carb up days. Eat Cereal.
honey nut cheerios, fruity pebbles, and honey bunches of oats. All 3 boxes. Your fats will be around 55 if the rest of the food for those days is lean protein. feels good man
-
jep tons of cereal is what i have already planned for my upcoming carb load actually
have to watch out on my sugar intake tho
was in the clinic due to my finger numb thingy, confirmed problem with ulnar nerve
the earliest possible scan was available on November 18th, SIGHHHHHHHHH
was clothes shopping today and therefore able to see myself in a mirror with proper lightning for the first time a long time
WOW! impressive :)
-
power workout today, it was AWFUL due to my ulnar nerve thingy
im not able to pull heavy weight(i wasnt even able to get 200lbs up for deadlift lol)
on the push exercises i wasnt able to do more than 90% either
Im really on the fence at the moment, I really want to finish my ud 2.0 run (im so close) but my injury makes it really difficult and am i supposed to rest my elbow i think(doesnt guarantee that it will get better tho)
hmm, have to think about it a bit more
I prolly try the 1st depletion workout and go on from there
-
so it is getting real tough lately, my cravings especially for candy are getting out of hand
im really disciplined and counter my sweet tooth by getting creative and making awesome low-carb sweets but at 1200kcal/day there just isnt too much room.
Im basically thinking about food 24/7 and the desire to just quit and start eating normal again gets more regular every day
but NO! i push trough this and I decided to go even harder and add a cardio session after my depletion workouts today and tomorrow to shred the stubborn bodyfat, I will probably regret this decision soon haha
eats from yesterday:

low-carb burger

low-carb hazelnut cinnamon cookies
-
had my first little binge a few days ago(1st depletion workout day)
wasnt even food i was craving just ate too much of the cookies above, tasted so damn good :( (2200kcal instead of 1200 overall for the day)
made up for it yesterday(1000kcal 150g protein + depletion workout)
and today 1100kcal + 25min HIIT(ouuuuuuuch)
Im up 17 hours already(woke up at 4am lol) but still feel good despite only eating such a low amount.
Im leaning out very well and the only thing that still annoys me a bit are slight lovehandles/lower back fat and a bit at my quads
I hopefully can get rid off it in the remaining 11 days
-
Yeah, those cookies do look good! Good luck, and hope that your elbow issue improves soon.
-
so last cycle just started, I finally start to get a little bit definition in my thighs(thigh and love handle is very stubborn for me)
Hunger gets worse every cycle, Im a very strong-minded person but I really gotta say that I can barely take it anymore
6 8day cycles is probably a little bit too much
Im pretty confident that I actually added a little bit of muscle during this cut, the carb-load/anabolic phase works really, really well.
You can really feel how your body turns anabolic, Libidio suddenly trough the roof, incredible deep sleep, great strenght in the power-workout.
Im sold on UD 2.0 and it will be a stable for me for sure(I will try 4weeks bulking followed by 8 days UD 2.0 cutting to stay lean all year until April or sth and then shred the last little bit of fat with 4weeks ud 2.0 to get into single digit bf%)
-
depletion workouts done! YES YES YES
sneaked in some squats into the depletion workouts -> not a good idea
I can barely walk anymore haha, high rep squats = evil
therefore wasnt able to do a cardio session today and did some heavy house-cleaning instead(it is about time)
took me 3 hours and Im completely smoked now
gonna eat some chicken salad with feta cheese(my new favourite) now
cheers
-
Hey man you need to share some of those recipes, especially the hazlenut cookies, low carb burger, the omellette looking thing, the almond chicken salad...good god all of those pictures are making me so hungry!
-
Im posting all my eats in the MEN thread in the nutrition forum
dont really have recipes because I improvise on my cooking and just play around with different ideas all the time

Those muffins look awesome, I read your post in the MEN thread, only 100cal for two? What ingredients do you generally use, I know you say your improvise, but it looks like quite a bit a volume for that ammount of food.
-
the muffins yesterday were just a few egg whites, very little protein powder, very little peanut butter, low cal choco sauce, splenda
I normally bake a lot with FF curd cheese(quark) tho
ah and IM DONE WITH KCAL DEFICIT <3 <3
-
so given that im pretty much done here are the before and after pics

is just me or does the face really look a lot leaner?
-
last carb load yesterday and it was the best so far i think
kept fat really low and mainly ate bread(with low fat sausage) and milk rolls
6lbs weight rebound(from 153 to 159) without much/any visible fat gains and no bloating
very interesting that after the occasional big drop my weight basically stayed the same(153lbs depleted, 159lbs loaded) for the last 4 weeks or so despite me getting leaner
And that is what UD 2.0 is best for imo, Recomping, gaining muscle and losing bf at the same time
-
last power-WO was really good
very solid bench, new squat PR(no DL due to injury)
bad news on my ulnar nerve injury tho, had an appointment in the hospital today and it looks quite bad
most likely need surgery(will know more in a few days) and have to stop working out for a few weeks :( :(
