Zah pump is betta dan zah sex.
Welcome!
I don't remember the bench question being asked before. I'd say that it took me about two years to get to 300, with quite a bit of that time spent fuking around. Hindsight being 20/20, I could do it in easily under a year if I knew then what I know now :)
I wouldn't say I have any natural talent for benching other than physical proportions - short arms, wide shoulders and chest. My biggest gains in benching have come from simply gaining weight. Bench press strength is well correlated with bodyweight, unlike strength in the squat or deadlift.
Sweet! I never knew that bodyweight had that type of correlation... Good thing I'm going michelin man right now!
About gaining weight and benching 1.5x bodyweight: Are pushups easier or harder when you're bench is that strong, even though you're heavier?

The correlation is fairly strong in non-newbie lifters :) That's why on a cut, bench strength is the hardest to hold on to and drops the fastest, whereas some people actually make gains or can maintain their deadlifts.
There really is no relation between bench press and pushups as far as I know. You can build up to a 100-rep pushup set, but that really means jack for your bench :)
Lots of heavy benching lately. Good call to rest and skip the CGBP/OHP

Notes
* A solid 3rd day of heavy benching and so-so deadlifting.
* For bench, my arms were already a bit sore as I warmed up, and that soreness flared up between each set. Strength-wise, I knew I could do the 295 singles, but I was worried that the pain from soreness would present a problem in the middle of the single. So to be safe, I asked a guy to spot me for the first single. Once it went up easily, I knew there'd be no problems with the next two singles. To ensure I adequately recover by Sunday, I decided to skip OHP and CGBP for this week.
* As for deadlifting, my speed off the ground is still not what it used to be. My legs are still in the early stages of recovery from the TM volume squats on Sunday, and that's having an effect on deadlifts. Next week is the deload week for deads. That will give me time to figure out what to do and where to move deads, because it's not working well in the current time slot.
wtf? srs?

Yeah the first thing to go for me on any kind of cut is bench strength. Squat/deadlift tend to go pretty unaffected though.
I hate my effing bench. I'm about to hammer it hard over the next 6 months or so. :)

Bro, didn't you know that doing leg presses will bring up your squats?

I don't like my bench either. I'm just trying to get out of this range I've been in for a while.

Notes
* Good double session on Thursday. Slowly getting stronger on squats. I think I lost a little bit of strength on squats post-Smolov when I went to do 5/3/1 for it. TM is bringing that strength back.
* As for bench, 250 is the most I've done for a pause lol.
... Video coming up later
250 paused for a recovery bench number is badass mate!
Strong squatting and pendlays on the evening encore

Strong squats. Strong recovery bench singles, paused too.
Strong squats Ken.
Stronger power cleans in the background. I finally found someone that has worse form than I do lol.

LOL I was thinking the same thing watching him between sets. He's a big guy, built like an NFL tight end, but his PC form was like a deadlift to high pull with the wrist flip.
apparently you've never seen me do power cleans
x2. I wouldn't even call what I've done power cleans :D
Easy squats are E Z. Nice Ken!
Nice volume on Thursdays double session. Those paused singles @ 250 on presses... NICE... when's it my turn? :D
