he may have not seen how bad the contact was , but if he didnt see the leg lifted up that high, studs first then hes not fit to be a ref. the ball was right there, he shouldve seen it
Why, do you know where he was standing? The tackle was towards the advertising board, unless the referee is in a really weird position it's quite likely he was behind the player and didn't get a good view.
This is the sort of thing nobody even considers when slagging the refs off, including low grade pundits.
What has that decision got to do with liverpool? what exactly are you insinuating?
it's also called rivalry, if you didn't support a team about 6000 miles away you might understand it, always the victim, it's never your fault.
I was merely pointing out how shiet his refereeing abilities are and that it's unbelievable that a man over 50 can still be an official. I backed that by pointing out two horrible calls, the call on Shelvey and the choice not to book McManaman.
Don't be mad bro

don't know if anybody posted this midweek:
Ryo Miyaichi to miss rest of Wigan season, says Roberto Martinez
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21754982
The 20-year-old was a first-half substitute at Goodison but was carried off on a stretcher after 72 minutes.
Martinez is awaiting the results of a scan on the Japan international.
Miyaichi joined the Latics on a season-long loan from the Gunners last summer but has made just seven appearances.
He also had a spell on the sidelines from November 2012 to March 2013 after picking up a groin injury while on international duty.
That really sucks. He is such a naturally talented player but he's been ruined by injuries this season and an ankle injury (especially for a quick winger) can have big long-term implications. Hopefully the recovery goes well.

Shelvey was a blatant red, and I have no doubt that the ref would have shown a red today if he'd actually had a decent view of it.
Good job making the whole argument about yourself though.
apparently this isnt even a foul
Oh look it's another united fan having a dig at every Liverpool fan he sees because he was born into a life of supporting Whiskey nose and co.
The problem is he's a McManaman and as we know, they are all dirty pieces of scum.
Brb scraping for stats because the top scorer chart clearly states:
These are the facts, Jason Puncheon also has 4 times as many goals as Welbeck
Don't remember seeing Puncheon scaring the life out of Real Madrid's defence at the Bernabeu.
That's Real Madrid. The team that the best team in the world can't beat but who needed the ref's help to beat Utd. That's Utd. The team that isn't anywhere near as good as Barca but who were beating the side who Barca can't beat before the ref stepped in.
:D

**** yes! Incredible finish to that game!
We're all gonna make it. Except for QPR, Villa and Reading.
-
Did Kone actually score a goal in a football match?
-
Very unlucky with Debuchy and Haidara injuries today, poor decisions are a piss take. Should have been a red card

dani alves doing his best cotton swab impression.. unlucky for adriano, its nice to see someone more direct on barca.

Tottenham's annual collapse is amusing
-
Messi's name getting thrown around 5 times per minute, but I think Villa is just as big right now. He's another older player Barca should consider keeping for a bit longer IMO

Well Odemwingie seems to be a tad bit upset.
Odemwingie tweeted: "Keeping me on the bench now is worst than what they did on the 31st. New advisers told me to take say its all my fault cos its better or me.
"If they like they shouldn't even give me 10 mins to play. Threatening to ruin my career? Career I closed already last summer? No harm to me.
"Want to treat me like an average player. The abuse and praise I get is it average ? So get some extra from me too.
"Former Albion sporting director in the presence of the new and Manager apologised to me in private. Publicly not good ? Come under my cloud.
"Drive was lunacy ? Missing in the training section that day also lunacy ? They forgot to complain about that though cos they knew were I was.
"Things have almost got back to normal till Peter spoilt it again. What's normal ? We see things differently obviously.
"Has anyone seen me give interview to clubs website for a year now ? What about an interview in match day magazine ? I am on my own there.
"Was ready to give half of the contract there and earn less to make it happen. Forcing a move really is when u want to leave 4 free."
Odemwingie continued his tweets after a 44-minute break with an apparent reference to the salary of one of his team-mates.
He tweeted: "1senior player in presence of the captain and few other seniors last season. 40 a week. If he s on that I should be on 80.# talksbehindback.
"More reasons ? Should still remain loyal ? Even if it sounds childish. It's a lot. People I should trust normally. Holding meetings.
"Before that I was a proper gentleman in the team and trusted everyone. I tried to leave quietly didn't work.
"A normal team will never let a player who acted like I did come back. My friends there remained friends. The few wish to but can't talk.
"Now let them hold another meeting. Please let it not involve more than players and coaches. SC doesn't let them in our meetings now. Proof.
"The meeting to help me out this time so I don't disturb please. Club will back you as usual as u are more in numbers. Why keep me still ?"
