Sickening. I think the coach should be beaten. Rice should go to jail.
Since many of is do not agree with main stream media that it is acceptable what Rice did, we are racists.
Thanks Obama.
explain why Obama needs to be thanked?

That was extreme sarcasm. Obvious to most.

Agree, excellent commentary by Brown.
What gets me is the hypocrisy exhibited by Goodell. "I didn't see no video..." Yeah, right, it's only been in your possession for the last few months and only NOW did you get around to seeing it, you two-faced, split-tongued motha? Lying through his teeth don't count for half of it.
For the record, and this is just my personal observation, you don't hit a woman unless there's no other option or she's carrying something that could cave your skull in, be it a brick, a fry pan, a lamp, or anything reasonably heavy that could do damage. Restrain her, back the phuk up and jump out the damn window if necessary--less than two flights up is best--but you don't do it. If it's a matter of life or death, then let it loose, but otherwise, no. Them's my thoughts.

You throw like a girl? You're a sissy? Seriously? Talk about delivering the PG rated version!! Listen to the rap music that most of these young kids grow up with and you'll hear the problem loud and clear, with extra bass. Their culture is broken and it has nothing to do with how girls throw.

I've noticed that you're always a extra grumpy before your morning bowel movement. I think violence towards women has been going on before rap music came along.
Also, add more fiber to your diet, Grumpypants. :D

Of course it has and in the larger context he's right about having that conversation. The issue today is that in so many homes the person who is supposed to have that conversation, usually using their foot, is no longer present. At this point the people who need that conversation the most won't get it. It's fine to talk about talking about domestic violence, but until the greater societal issues are talked about honestly there will be no one with which these kids can talk about domestic violence.
As for rap music, are you going to try to make the case that its message isn't violent or devaluing to women? Are you going to suggest that many of the kids who listen to it and dress like convicts with pants down around their ass don't take it to heart? Is rap music the cause of the problem? No, but it damn sure contributes to the cycle!

Besides, being Canadian I bet you do throw like a girl!!! :p
My wife better hide, apparently I'm now likely to give her a beat down.

Very true. One thing we can do is volunteer our time and be a part of these young individuals' lives. I know it's not huge but it's something and it can help.

We're on the same page here. With that being said, when I was a teen, I was obsessed with bands like the Sex Pistols; a bunch of drug addicts who railed against the establishment. I think the key here is knowing that music is a form of creative expression which ideally needs to be considered as such and not taken literally. Easier said than done, I know.

If that girl is Mo'ne Davis, I'll take that as a compliment! :D

You must have missed the video where he says: If you say, "You look like you have bitch-tits," it might develop into abusive behavior.
Real talk - not.

And here comes Petersen. That's disappointing if what's there is true. Always been a fan.
