everyone keeps 1 N/A and everyone else goes back into the draft. only way it's fair.

Bish i forewent my 3rd/4th place matchup to keep those bishes that week because i had the foresight to add my dudes knowing they were lingering
Im not necessarily disagreeing with you, just saying i specifically added them for a reason, which did affect last year

What the **** are you on? When we implemented the first N/A keeper slot we allowed keepers that's same off-season. If you didn't have one you drafted one in the keeper draft. Why is this any different? Keeper draft will be two rounds this year. You can choose to participate or not.
DH in the National League?

So worst to first record for draft order correct?
DH in the National League?
Didnt read any articles on it but I thought it was squashed for 2019? Thought it was most likely 2020.

Nah opposite, we've always done first to worst. Obviously going to be a snake draft. So it would go 1-14,14-1.

Why don't we just add another pitcher keeper then. I'll keep kershaw and have a fab four. Oh you guys all have chit pitchers? Too bad, there will be a draft.

I just saw it flash on my phone, but I haven't read up on it. Implementing it this year seems crazy.
I don’t care, pretty sure Soroka will still be on the board when I pick 7th anyway so go ahead and fire up the draft

So you're saying Soroka/James/Hampson/Alonso are so much better than what will be in the rookie draft that you'll be a huge disadvantage? Come on man. Those guys aren't even the cream of the crop.
When we implemented rookie keepers, that same off-season we allowed anyone who had rookies to keep one of they wanted. If not we went into the draft. I didn't have one so I drafted. Pro had Glasnow who at the time was considered one of the top rookies going into the season who was supposed to be up right away. I wasn't in here crying Pro got to keep Glasnow. Nor was anyone else. Why is it an issue now with you?
Braves definitely finishing in last place once the DH comes to the NL.
We won’t even spend money to properly add a catcher and OF to field a strong 8 position players
Lol at expecting us to pay for a part time player too

Sh*t I was halfway considering entering the draft to do better than Soroka.
But nah I’m gonna stick with my boy even though I know they’re gonna be rotating his ass in and out of the rotation all year long to share that last spot with Touki and Wright

Same here and I still am thinking about it. That's if we approve it, seems like changes always get derailed by someone or something.
Hampson may not even start. Rockies hate their young players. I gotta see what James brings this spring. If I like the options in the draft better I might jump in the draft for a second keeper. Hardly a big advantage over JY. I'm 100% sure he can draft a higher ranked rookie then either of those two.
By the way, isn’t the rule if I elect to keep a guy and not enter the draft I own all rights to the other prospects I hold and they are ineligible?
Well I’m keeping Bo Bichette
So by definition my guys should be ineligible for the draft
You’re telling me now that because of this new N/A where you’re essentially forcing me to draft for the 2nd slot all my other guys are now thrown back in the pool just because??? I didn’t volunteer for that any more than you did having us keeping two from our current rosters
Hardly seems any more fair to force me to give up my rights like that when I am still declining to enter the draft for the original N/A slot by keeping Bichette
Jus sayin.
Only other way I see doing it is. Everyone picks their rookie keeper. Every other rookie gets dumped into the rookie draft and we all draft for the second slot.
Even that kind of annoys me because it's not the way we did it in the past. JY just thinks he's at an disadvantage this time so he wants to do it differently. Not only that it's not fair to teams who have held onto multiple guys and are now losing the rights to em.
Kind of like Ohtani last year. He wanted to change who we consider rookies because Pro was going to draft him

Yeah I thought of that too.
Do I have the option to still refrain from the 2nd draft though, entering the season with only 1 N/A keeper (and an extra pick in the normal draft in the final round by default) while still keeping the rights unavailable to the rest of you in that 2nd N/A draft?
Otherwise I still am forced to dump my rights, it’s just a delayed dump
If so I’d refrain and go in 1 N/A just to give Jyeatbvg the finger and pick up Soroka in the regular draft lol
I actually wouldn’t do any of that
Even make a fuss if they all got dumped in to the first round of N/A drafting even with the Bichette keep
I just want Jyeatbvg to see how easy it is for me to bitch about insignificant details too if I wanted to genuinely make the process harder of adding another N/A like he’s doing
Homeboy just making things difficult for the sake of making them difficult. Stop micro managing for 5 seconds and realize this is literally no impact for season success
Some of the 2nd keeps will boom some will bust, unpredictability for the most part. So the method really does not matter much
Spaz and LG are the only ones I haven’t seen around in a long time.
I know Steeze and Pro will both show up. Mel checked in a few days ago in the old thread. I’ve seen hey quick question and Bateman come in with comments this offseason as well so I know they’re still here.
Really just need some signs of life from LG and Spaz tbh
Damn just saw Pro has Vlad JR and Royce Lewis hnnng.

Doodle poll for A-League draft. Fill in your availability
https://doodle.com/poll/vr6rrg9xqsn2z4za
Just trying to get a rough indication for when people would be available so it's broken down into morning, afternoon, and night options right now for each potential day
I'll leave this up for a week or two and then remake another one with specific times once I get a sense which day and general time of that day works for most.
Unfortunately it's the only fair way boyos. Just because something's been done in the past doesn't make it right. In hindsight, it was dumb af to do it that way. It doesn't matter who your second keepers are and whether they're not the "cream of the crop", just the fact that you're choosing to keep them over throwing them back in is enough. If we add a new keeper, everyone should have a year to plan accordingly.

So should I change your vote to no?
Srsly you want Josh James that bad I'll give him to you for free.

I think we should first discuss which approach to take rather than doing something just because it's been done before.

I wasnt a problem before but now you feel like youre at a disadvantage so you want to change the rules. You're not about fairness as a whole. You're about yourself.
Like I said before I would advocate everyone picking 1 rookie keeper from their team. Every other player goes into a player pool and we draft for the second keeper. But that would reward you with the second pick in a draft filled with top rookie talent. Seems like that is all you care about. Getting an advantage over others.
Speed/Bacon, I haven't received an email from Yahoo yet. I'm fine with second N/A spot.
Been slammed at work and studying for my CFA exam I'm out of the loop on everything baseball right now. Need to catch up real quick.
I dont see the problem if people have 2 NA eligible guys; they suffered the consequences for carrying them last year. Moreso than those that didnt lol, cause no matter what that 2nd guy was just an empty roster spot
Or i guess in the case guys were playing but didnt pass thresholds they werent, but thats more rare
