@caprica
Sounds to me like you're doing great!
Never looked into WW, but they have to be doing something right!
Lots of hype about it.
Good for you!
Winter is here again. Its February, shouldn't it be over?
But on a happier note I got gas here for 1.45 a gallon. Like it when I can fill up my tank fro under 20 bucks.
Crazy. I'm sure it's been asked before. I know it's a big state, but are you anywhere near Flint? Sad situation.
It sure is.
-4˚ this morning...
-4:eek:
Its a 18 here. Pretty balmy compared to -4.

No kidding.
I heard on the radio this morning that they're allotting some 100mil to help improve the situation.
Or maybe it's just another politician tryin' to make a name for themselves.
Can't imagine living there now, with families and children.
Sad.
balmy
good word! :)

No, but its in our news here nearly every day. Hard to believe that can occur in this country. We take it for granted that our water is safe to drink. Makes you wonder.
Very sad situation indeed.

It has been such a depressed area for so long, now poisoned by their drinking water.
Hard to believe that can occur in this country.
^sheesh. That statement hit me hard. I'm not from that area or anything. I've always lived on the east coast.
...
And got d*mnit. I check in exclusively via an old iPad and my phone right now. The forum pages jump around on me when they load and refresh on their own and I end up clicking on people's names instead of the threads. Sorry, NoCarbs. (no stalker)
Lol

you can stalk all you want
nothing to see there anyways :)
this Flint stuff is quite depressing
just feel bad for all the kids and parents over there...
Cliffs: I have all of these tools in front of me and I'm still not tracking. :p You have to give me some credit, though. Just because I lack the discipline to track these days that doesn't mean I'm lazy. I've kept the weight off for years and I've managed to keep my bf percent within a certain range throughout that time. I'm basically shifting between slow cut, recomp and "reverse" recomp mode right now if the labels help. All depends on how much gym time I get per week.
I hope to achieve this some day.

I stalk you secretly all the time when I am not logged in:D

Thanks!
For what/(whatever?) it's worth, I lost weight on an older, more restrictive version of the plan.
just saw this on one of bb.com's instagram post...
"If it's important to you, you will find a way.
If not, you'll find an excuse"
I don't know if it's an original or if someone else wrote it.
Nonetheless, I like that line!
^^^
Very true that.
It all comes down to how bad do you want it.
@caprica: Thanks for the detailed post on how WW works! I always wondered but now that you broke it down it sounds simple enough. And great to know it worked for you in the past. I know what you mean about feeling like you need real life support, that's something i lack here because no one really has any weight issues (or i should say to my extent) and so i'm unable to identify with anyone in real life about my issues. Bb (and all the great peeps on it...or at least the peeps in the fat loss log section haha) have helped me so much in this aspect because i was finally able to say all the things i've ever wanted to say about my weight and weightloss journey without feeling judged and always got support and encouragement that has helped keep me going.

@Nocarbs: I just had to laugh at the irony of this, just today in my log i wrote "Didn't make it to the gym today, but will go tomorrow no excuses." lol. Bb must have been spying in on my mind haha

yes, they can do that
you better watch out!
ha!

Just wanted to celebrate my 5000th post here on the bb forums.
Hi.
damn that looks good!!!!
5000 posts, oldtimer:D
damn that looks good!!!!
Thanks.
Awesome meal.
If I ate three meals like this every day, if I had the time to sit down for it that is, I wouldn't really need any other supplements like Protein powders and whatever.

Hahaha!
I just signed up for an online course on nutrition.
"Child Nutrition and Cooking" from Stanford University.
Very excited about it!
Sounds like fun course.
Sounds like fun course.
I think it will be.
I already started the first unit.
There are five units:
1. Why Home Cooking Matters
2. What Constitutes a Balanced Meal
3. From Supermaket to Dinner Table to School
4. Sustainable Eating
5. Labels, Allergies and Taste
The course is taught to parents who want to improve their children's nutrition.
I am going to use it for that, but I took it mostly to learn for myself.
Selfish, I know... :)
It was the only course they had open at this time.
I think I'm going to enjoy it.
My favorite part is that it is a flexible schedule, so I am not stuck to a calendar.
I am a very fast reader and like to do big chunks of work at one time.
Looking forward to it.
I don't where you find the energy. You are one busy man.
Giving children a better grasp on nutrition, start early build good habits. And applicable to adults as well.

Yes. I am sure my children will benefit from this, as will I.
I am always learning something.
I am a doctorate student right now.
A couple years left.
Not studying Nutrition though.
Always reading/studying/writing something.
no bragging, but...
It helps that I took a couple courses on speed reading a few years back.
So I read very fast.
I completed this course on my own...

And also have some experience with Howard Berg's work.
He is the world's fastest reader.
Here's one book of his that I've used.

Pretty cool guy and easy to talk to.
Never met him in person, but I chatted with him in a live online conference a couple times.
no bragging though
You are like a human computer.
Mirin skills dude.
