The idea of more than one of me scares the **** out of me. :D

No way. I think Fawn and I should take over the world. Can you imagine?

Ya it would be full of short blunt people that smell like stinky armpits.
I'm with Erin, scary lol.

YIKES! I have a twin but we are like night and day!
As far as the thread... I have yoga pants I kick around the house in. If I were ever to wear them out in public I wouldn't give a rats ass what anyone thinks. My gym pants are tight spandex capris and alot of times when I leave the gym I go to the grocery store or whatever. Still not giving a sh*t what others think!
-
But don't try to deny that yoga pants are probably the most revealing choice of lower body clothing acceptable in public, more so than skirts and jean booty shorts.
Apparently you do not live in an area where leggings are worn as pants.
I see many more revealing see through leggings out in town than I do yoga pants, and with the leggings, there's is nothing left to the imagination.
Also, you are a man and have no idea, but yoga pants are pretty much the most comfortable thing in the world. Yes they're form fitting, but as other posters have said, not every girl wears them for attention. Most will wear them because they're comfortable. What goes on in your mind is not anyone else's fault. You control your thoughts, not anyone else. Well, except for all of you brain washed miscers...

I would use my armpits as weapons in our law enforcement.
This stank, classless, attention whore is IN!!!

i don't understand male logic.
a man sees a woman wearing skirt/dress/high heels/burlap sack/flats/pants/overalls/t-shirt/whatever and is physically attracted to her.
therefore, she must be a slut because he feels that way.
-
I don't like any loose movement in my wokout clothes. If I could do it nude olympian style I would. I have never been criticized. And if someone happens to tell me I look good...well then...I have a **** eating grin on my face the rest of the day!

Sounds like you understand it pretty well to me.

yot. men like to look at women and fantasise. nothing weird about that.
what i don't understand though is the vilification of women as sluts/whores and such along the way.
humans are sexual beings - why not accept and enjoy it as is? it seems to me like a lot of people feel repressed/ashamed about how they feel in that regard and then project it.
-
i think i do, actually.

I think most men do. It's usually only the ones who have been burned, cheated on, or are jealous they aren't getting any from someone hot.
-
I wear yoga pants in public cuz I'm bulking and can't fit into anything else!
-
If yoga pants are taboo, I can only imagine what people think of me when I go to Target or the liquor store after TKD (don't judge - it's right nearby!) in my uniform.
-
Tights didn't make sense to me until I tried out compression tights...

I wear these to the gym and they're very comfortable. Usually I have sweatpants over them to keep me warm but on the stationary bike or when my shins aren't bothering me, the treadmill I'll take them off. Who cares...not long ago people were walking in the wild without clothes to begin with. It's only attention seeking if you're wearing it for that reason.
-
Going to school, the store, or out with friends, I think its a poor decision in attire. No guy is looking at a girl in yoga pants and thinking wow those look comfy, I bet that girl might have a great personality. The only thing they are picturing is your lower body nude in their bedroom. I'm sorry but someone had to say it. There are a lot of sick people, and I wouldn't want to attract unnecessary attention to myself in certain circumstances. And I surely wouldn't want to have the creepy dude, who drives a van with limo tint, at the grocery checking me out in the parking lot.
Please apply this to women who are forced to wear burkas and yet, are still sexually assaulted. Were their eyeballs too alluring or did they accidently show a wrist?
Maybe the targets aren't to blame when SOMEONE ELSE is objectifying them?
-
Keep wearing the Yoga pants!! Better yet, bring back Daisy Dukes and Bicycle shorts to train in!!

Well it's not the targets fault when things like that happen. However, dressing a certain way and placing yourself it certain situations/environments increases the likelihood for bad things to happen.

SOME YPs are more or less the equivalent of going out in a dress that barely covers your arse cheeks whilst letting your tits almost fall out, these would be the light coloured super thin material ones, where absolutely nothing is left to the imagination (you can see pimples and what not). Whether they are comfortable or not, you know how revealing they are, you know what's on show, and because of that the slutty factor goes up.
Now the YPs more orientated around exercise in my view tend to be a much darker colour and the fabric tends to be thicker. They still show a body shape, but its far less revealing - thinking mini skirt with a top as an equivalent. These I wouldn't expect people to consider slutty.
It also comes down to what other clothing you have on - workout top with YPs just looks like an overall workout get up. However revealing YPs as mentioned before, with a going out top (say clubbing) or the rest of you done up to the 9's, well yeh people are going to judge...
Keep wearing the Yoga pants!! Better yet, bring back Daisy Dukes and Bicycle shorts to train in!!
I often train in these when the weather's not cold
Dude. I just spent over $300 at Lululemon on THREE things. Where are these $5 yoga pants? Even Old Navy is $20 and they fade immediately.
LOL dont ask me for $5 I'd buy a pair myself ..as you can see form my avi I don't always wear tight shorts but some times I do or my singlet .. I might be a slut, or a powerlifter

only a slut if she has rejected him.. unless you're in the general misc in that case all females are either sluts or whores

Wow I never knew yoga pants were this much of a problem :D
Haven't worn them "in public" for a while, but I am a leggings girl. However, I make sure there's a long shirt of some kind that goes past my butt, over those leggings.

I love wearing yoga pants. Live in them when I'm off of work.
I think OP's original question was about the conservative family member. IDK...I think I would just forgo the yoga pants for the weekend to avoid the family conflict. Doesn't seem worth wasting the energy on family drama. The conservative sis (or whatever she is, can't remember) won't change her mind anyway.

This is true. Though I'm not sure wearing yoga pants to the grocery store qualifies. :D

Really? Everyone wears them to and from class. There's not much of a locker room there. They need to expand.
