agree 100%.
it's hilariously obvious that some of these people in here have never even put a glove on let alone taken a hit.
lol @ "boxers have more rounds so their cardio is better"
hmmm..lets see
mayweather has years and years to perfect what? 5-6 different moves?
straights/hooks/uppercuts..etc.. wow
mma fighters has years and years to perfect straights/hooks/uppercuts/takedowns/submissions/multiple martial arts/grappling etc.
no doubt mayweather is a excellent athlete..better athlete than a mma fighter such as cro-cop or fedor? not.
excuse boxers ignorance...all they do is get punched inthe head so they start getting kinda coo coo afterawhile.
Mayweather > MMA fighter in (Boxing)
MMA fighter > Mayweather (MMA)
This is not hard to understand
Considering how much money Mayweather makes, and therefore how much time he can and must spend training, it is easy to believe that he would be far more athletic than an MMA fighter who must work another job to survive.
perfectly worded.

Cro cop and Fedor may be awesome fighters, and they are in shape, but I would say Mayweather is easily a better athlete than these two. His speed and conditioning alone should tell you that.
^^Holy ****ing **** you're huge.
Actually you're a ****in idiot if you really think UFC fighters are more athletic than Floyd Mayweather Jr. Go back to school kid.
I guarantee Mayweather would get ****ed in a fight with a decent UFC fighter. You're 17, don't tell someone to go back to school either.
Cro cop and Fedor may be awesome fighters, and they are in shape, but I would say Mayweather is easily a better athlete than these two. His speed and conditioning alone should tell you that.
anybody can have fast hands. but do you really think mayweather can beat fedor? fedor is a deadly striker himself. it would be a good match.
boxing: fedor and mayweather would be even.
mma: Fedor obviously, mayweather would tap second he hits theground.
and for some reason why are all these boxers talkign **** and not doing anything to prove it?
We all know mayweather would lose in a mma fight against the ****tiest ufc fighter, thats not even an argument. the argument is, is he a better athlete? I would say, obviously yes.
your right..fedor would own mayweather bitchass with one hit.
how can you say mayweather is a better athlete?
boxers- stand on their feet, go in circles in a ring, and punch.
mma fighters-stand on their feet, roll on the ground, having to squeeze muscles for prolong times to help get submissions or break out of an offensive submission. etc.
boxers work mostly upperbody, ofcourse a little bit of lower body such as jumproping.
mma fighters need to wrok the entire body to be a weapon..not just their hands.
i think this arguement is not based on boxers/mma fighters...but on athlete/athlete basis...cause of course oscar de la hoya trained with deigo sanchez...so some people train better than others...
but i still say fedor would own mayweather...sure mayweather can punch your lights out and throw liek 10 hit combos...but whats a ten hit combo gonna do when fedor ducks all those hits takes yo udown and continues to use ground and pound on his ass?
it's true, boxers spend a lot of their time sizing up the other guy, waiting for that moment. it's a sweet science, no doubt about it. but it's very specialised, not very diverse.
taking a boxer and putting him in a cage is like throwing a goldfish into a pool of sharks.
anybody can have fast hands. but do you really think mayweather can beat fedor? fedor is a deadly striker himself. it would be a good match.

Wtf are you talking about , first of all fedor has an 80 lbs advantage so what you're saying is retarded. Second , we're not even talking about who can beat who , we're just talking about who is the better athlete.
Wtf are you talking about , first of all fedor has an 80 lbs advantage so what you're saying is retarded. Second , we're not even talking about who can beat who , we're just talking about who is the better athlete.
obviously if someone can beat someone else mulitple times...they are the better athlete. fedor can beat mayweather mulitple times..
so what if he has an 80lb advantage? if may weather was suc a better athlete, he would be able to be bouncy and escape quick enouh.

not really fair comparing a 230 pound heavyweight to a 145 pound boxer
lets make it more even and say sean sherk VS. mayweather...
in boxing mayweather would FUk sherk up..
in MMA he could still land a big punch... if he kept it on the feet
on the ground ill be honest though sherk would rape mayweather LOL

of course mayweather could land a big punch, but the probability of that happening is low. boxers stand toe to toe, MMA guys keep their distance. sherk will be in there before mayweather can say "dayyum fool i wish i hadnt talked **** y'knaaamean"

Athletic:
1. physically active and strong; good at athletics or sports: an athletic child.
2. of, like, or befitting an athlete.
3. of or pertaining to athletes; involving the use of physical skills or capabilities, as strength, agility, or stamina: athletic sports; athletic training.
4. for athletics: an athletic field.
5. Psychology. (of a physical type) having a sturdy build or well-proportioned body structure.
Athlete:
a person trained or gifted in exercises or contests involving physical agility, stamina, or strength; a participant in a sport, exercise, or game requiring physical skill.
I suppose based on these definitions that the key ingredients for measuring an athlete are agility, strength, and endurance (although I'd personally throw in heart/desire, but we'll leave that out for now). Pound for pound, I don't see too many men in the world being more athletic than Mayweather (he's very well rounded - quick, good stamina, decent strength). They're out there, but few and far between.
But as anyone knows, relying on pure athleticism may cause you to lose an arm or a leg in a MMA fight.
I really dont think floyd is close to the athlete that fedor is.
He runs 10 miles a day on teh stepps.. he pratices upwards of2-3x daily.. not to mention the cardio it takes to grapple AND be national champion..
plus he weighs 230lbs and runs that much, does tons of pull ups and countless dips.. its crazy.
Nothing more I'd rather see than Oscar shut him up, but I don't see it happening.
Sadly I think you are right. Hopefully he take a vicious left hook to the liver; followed by the left hook / uppercut that DLH throws to the temple.

lol there's a LOT more going on in boxing than punching. infact, id go so far to say 75% of boxing is comprised of defense (which takes for ****ing ever to get good at), while punches are simply taken at any given opportunity.
and i like your little "boxers ignorance" line at the end, especially following the use of crocop's name, who just got knocked DEAD at ufc 70 (crocop btw was a kickboxer before he started MMA.. dont worry, im sure your ignorance just comes from being young)

word
and crocop also spent 2 years on the amatuer Boxing team as well...and to top it off Fedor loves boxing one of his favorites is muhammed ali and he enjoys watching boxing matches, he also respects all forms of combat sports and mainly uses his hands in his stand up.
i dont get it why the majority of people who diss boxing are young americans...Americans ruled boxing for so long now look who is dissing boxing the most such a shame.
i doubt these kids respect the technical aspect of any fight they just wanna see a brawl and exciting fight...they have yet to realize even how good fedor is he hasnt been fighting the best guys lately and almost got subbed by mark hunt a boxer kickboxer who mainly uses his punches even in kickboxing matches.

i know cro cop was a kick boxer..but he wasnt a boxer...kick boxing is alot mroe challenging than regular boxing.
but so what if boxing is 75% defense? do you think its harder to block just punches to the upper body..or to block punches, kicks, takedowns(takedown defense itself is a art) knees, elbows...all to any part of your body.
