Have you hit that point yet where an Amazon box, or maybe two, arrive, and you can't remember what you ordered until you open the box?
lol yep, thanks to Snagshout. Not as often with regular orders.
right
It is actually pretty sweet. That one has tons of items available for sale and you just pick what you want (you see what the discount is) and say whether you want it or not.
Another that my buddy uses will send you emails and you can say whether you do or don't want it (within a certain amount of time). I haven't done that one.
I am not into photography nor tennis, but I personally never had an issue with you guys discussing it in here. TBH, I enjoyed it, even though the subjects might bore me. It exposed me to stuff I otherwise would not have seen.
Not pointing blame at anyone in particular, but I think that might have been our downfall. It used to be a free fall with posting and then perhaps we all started to worry if what we were posting would be wanted or viewed negatively, etc. :o
You know chazzy you're exactly right. It's like I told my group yesterday at the 19th hole after all them Foster's big boy cans and the clients left. 'My mind is like a parachute, the dang thing isn't gonna to work unless it's open. And I need to be open to different ideas, different techniques, and whether those ideas came from somebody that's been in the business for 30-40 years, or, it can comes from somebody that's been in the business 3-4 weeks, it just doesn't matter, if it's a good idea and it looks like it's gonna work, I'M GONNA LISTEN TO IT!'

However keep fantasy talk out of this thread.
There is a dedicated subforum for this. Start a thread there and discuss it.
Thanks.

See the last thread.
It doesn't belong here, period.
If it continues I'll start deleting those posts. Take it to the fantasy sports subforum. Create a thread. Discuss it all you like.
As I said, I have no issue with discussing sport. It's the fantasy side of it which is a borefest for anyone not signed up to your league.
For example, no one cared for tennis discussion so I took it to a Misc. thread that was created for it. Ditto for photography. If someone started using this thread as a lifting journal you'd tell them to start a journal in the workouts section. Fantasy talk is no different.
If you can convince Vox and Frep to allow it then I'll STFU and ignore it. Until then it belongs in another forum.
/
I love you guys.
Actually, it's not the FF football discussion by itself that made the thread boring. It was that the ONLY thing discussed at times was FF. That's not so much the FF folks' fault, it was just that there was nobody discussing anything else. Yeah, at times the FF stuff was over the top and I do think it sometimes drown out what little other conversation was going on.
The primary issue is that most of the old time Ranters have gone, and they've not been replaced by anyone with anything to say. No snarky D1 posts, rarely any Shoup food-porn, no Turco misdirected text messages, and Kvk gave up on coffee shop girls in favor of congressional meeting minutes.
It is what it is.
No time like the present, friend.

Think they did a run of Pitch Black and then Pitch Black II for a while, but this was back in late 90s or early 2000s. I'm a sucker for a good grape soda though, and this stuff was like grape soda amped up a notch or two.

I had initially ordered the Rift, but Oculus has been doing a lot of shifty business since being bought out by Schmuckerberg and crew. Not to mention their shipping estimates got some pretty extreme delays, and they didn't even offer any touch controls with the initial release.
Ended up dropping that and putting the money toward the Vive, shipped in less than a week. Setup was surprisingly easy. Room scale gaming takes things to a completely different level, and there are a bunch of really interesting tech demoes and games out to utilize it already -- can't wait to see what the future brings though. Not to mention, the Vive integrates with the Steam interface amazingly well, and the touch controls are so much better than what happened with the Steam controller.
Anyway. Zero regrets. Really awesome, highly recommended. If you're ever in Georgia, hit me up and we'll do some grillin and liftin and beer drinkin and virtual-reality gamin'.
Also chuzzle, "supporting the girlfriend and the house while she gets her second degree" sounds pretty serious.
You into this gal or what? :D
well the house is my house. But she has been living with me for awhile at the moment. She is a full time student and was working part time. She just finished up all of the classroom portion of the degree and now is starting the last part which is 8 months of internships (essentially OJT for the various types of work in the field). 2 months per position. She had to quit her part time job (nothing really lost there) due to the full time nature of the itnernships, but her parents are helping to provide her money to cover what little she will no longer be making there. So she can still contribute what bit she can.
Once she finishes that, she is graduated and can start actual work.
Overall, it wouldn't be horrible for me, financially wise, but I'm still working on digging myself out of all the debt that f*cking Germany contract ended up burying me in. That is now listed as the bane of my existence. Those 3 years, hosed me. But I'm on the path out and just a matter of being smart with my spending and my nose to the grind stone for now.
Lenco, I don't make enough to be a sugar daddy. I've told her she needs to go find her a real sugar daddy, so we can make some changes to the house we've been talking about. :D
Here is the home gym, be tea dubs. It is only like 500lbs of plates, two 7' bars. The rack has an upper & lower pulley attachment. So bought lots of handles, to include v-grip / narrow neutral grip, rope handle, two d handles, lat pulldown, moderate width flat bar. Have two landmine attachments and also a row attachment for the landmine. Adjustable bench that goes from 60 degree incline to -10 degree decline (I tend to stack it on plates to get more of a decline). Dip bars that you can put into the rack and move around. Pull up bar on the rack as well. Some cheap adjustable DB handles & ez curl bar, as well as a pair of fat grips (well.. yes4all brand) and some ab rollers. :)
Overall, has pretty much all I need to get some solid workouts in.

My next international all expenses paid trip is to rek Punta Mita, Mexico!
National Geographic spelled Belize WRONG.
Beautiful day, now on my way to drink a metric ton of Trappist ale at a beer festival.
All of you can suck it.
Also, I've been to 15 on that list, but not quoting anything since I'm on my phone since I'm taking the bus since I'm going to be getting trashed.
Only been to one of the three things listed for Oregon which is pretty funny.
Shoup I dunno how the list is made but yeah I think it's just generally the coolest places to visit that are beautiful in some way.
I've only been to 7/100. Sad.
