A good view of hunting on a healthy almost spiritual level is the view of cameron hanes. Hes a bow hunter but also an ultra marathon athelete. The man literally trains marathons so he can go deeper into the woods and be more fit for better hunts. He hunts usually animals that are LARGE but not exotic, so GIANT elk, The largest ones are usually around 7 years old and getting close to being out of mating range, he doesn't kill anything thats like 1-2 years old. He cleans the animal and eats the meat. I find that way better than factory farming which is extremely inhumane. When hunting you want a FAST clean kill on an animal you must outsmart to kill, factory farming is brutal and disgusting, watch the videos man.
I feel like most people view hunting as tree stands and killing anything that comes accross your path. A lot of real hunting you have to hike miles into the woods, then drag hundreds of pounds of meat out of the woods over miles.

Fukk off *******. You don't have a clue.
Big difference between people that hunt solely for sport and those of us that actually eat what we kill. Most of us hate those *******s too.
You go fist yourself ******* I'll talk about sport killing psychos all I want, go do one. I wasn't on about hillbillies getting their dear meat no worries there.
-
Slaughterhouses are extremely inhumane and a quick death while hunting is much better than raising an animal in to be killed in that manner. Sport hunting isn’t my thing though.
-
the only issue i have with hunting is that i think a lot of pussies use a lower caliber than they should because they're too ****gy to carry a heavier gun or experience recoil

You mad bro?

hunting is way more humane than factory farming which is like the source of 99% of the world's meat, at least in the west. the animal has a chance to get away... unless it's like hunting farm where the animals are ****ed
You mad bro?
Yes sport killing psychopaths make me rage, hunting wolves, lions etc. I did state that, u mad bro?
Can tell when I'm raging over a subject I can't type properly. Fk the psychos karma will get them one day and I hope a wolf or lion gets to them first :)
Well, for one it keeps deer numbers down since there aren't a high number of natural predators in many areas.
I'm not an active hunter myself but what is there not to get?
add natural predators
Brah did you forget about a few months ago when Cuckrona almost shut down the meat processing industry and there was a meat and poultry shortage? Seems like a valuable skill to have and not something that can be learned easily or quickly.
The enjoyment encompasses all of those factors Breh. Including eating the meat that you earned yourself. Sharing your harvest with your community etc, practicing your shot during the off-season, eliminating pests... It’s the entire process.

Wolves are trash, look at what has happened to western Montana elk populations thanks to those wonderful wolves. Glad I know people that will shoot them on sight.
Yes sport killing psychopaths make me rage, hunting wolves, lions etc. I did state that, u mad bro?
Only places wolves are LEGALLY allowed to be hunted is where they have large numbers that need to be kept in check or where they become a nuisance/killing livestock. Lions, I have no idea. I do know that allowing these trophy hunters in to hunt pays for actual protection against the huge amount of poaching that occurs but then again everyone just sees some fat fuk on ******** posing a blows a gasket not knowing the amount they paid and what it actually goes to. Would i do it? No...but sometimes you have to see the bigger picture.

These dudes pay like $50k+ to conservations to kill old male lions that can no longer breed and may continue to fight for dominance. They get their prize, the conservations get funding, it is highly encouraged but SJWs get pissed off about it.

Never thought about killing just to kill but I do want to get into white tail hunting. Would be nice to have a decent supply of meat and save money.

You realize you are "thinking" with emotion rather than ration and logic? That's the worst possible way to make any kind of viewpoint or decision. And this is exactly why most people don't take women seriously and don't want them in charge of anything.
Phuck your bleeding heart liberal views.

I'm not a liberal you autist, hunting for sport is psychopathic & I didn't realize that is a supposed every conservative person thing. Going from 150k to 20k in 50 years, go do one. Humans have overpopulated, and are making things extinct *******. This isn't just emotion, humans don't need to kill for no reason and fk the ******* farmers as well they overbreed themselves.

Although I have, I will no longer hunt anything with four legs. I've never had a problem killing anything with two legs.

I mainly just like being out in the woods. I used to feel absolutely nothing when I shot deer but I've gotten old and soft and kinda feel bad about it now. Still do it anyway cause they are delicious and I could eat deer fry meat and jerky as my only food source the rest of my life
I shoot and doves and turkeys without the slightest twing of regret. They're just birds.
I feel a great sense of joy and accomplishment shooting hogs. They are destructive pieces of chit and I kill every one I see.
As stated earlier factory farming is a trillion times worse than hunting. Vegans are the only ones who can take the moral high ground on that issue and have me take them seriously.
As far as shooting elephants it seems kinda fukd up and personally I couldn't do it. They're too smart and I'd feel like chit about it
You think anyone ate that fuking rhino? I'm curious, what do you think rhino taste like?
I'd probably try it at least. I mean if reptiles are edible and you can eat them, then you can probably eat Rhino.
The meat is probably super boss level tough, though.
-
In my state, there are no natural predators for deer. A person can buy up to 5 deer tags. That means a husband, wife and two older kids can harvest up to 20 deer per year. That's about 1500 lbs of meat. There is no shortage of deer in Kansas. I see dead ones on the side of the road all the time.

^^Exactly. I remember something on a show (maybe Rogan?) that the only way those governments in Africa can afford to fight poachers is through the big game ticket sales. I hate poachers, I have no problem with people who have more money than sense paying to fight poaching.
As to the OP, I lost my thrill for hunting in my late teens, but my son wanted to start hunting a few years ago so I jumped back in. Just white tail deer hunting, but with bow, muzzleloader and rifle/shotguns, depending on the season.
He killed so many deer (legally) a couple of years ago that I couldn't/didn't want to afford the processing fees for meat, so we learned to skin the deer, butcher it and freeze & process it.
We've made jerky, burger, meatballs, sausage and of course tender loin and back strap steaks.
If you eat it, you may change your mind.
