just their super bench. i didnt see anything about the pro bench that made me want to get that one instead. the super bench feels like a powerlifting competition level bench!
I came to the conclusion that I already have enough weights home, that i'm just going to work on building a decent home gym. The convenience is great. Take my pre and head downstairs.

I actually think I am with you on that one. I would LOVE to go back to the gym, but the thing is, we have 3 kids and MA daycares aren't opening until sometime in July. So with no place to drop the kids off, my wife most CERTAINLY isn't going to be okay with me leaving each day for a chunk of time while she would have to work and juggle all 3. So like you, I think I'm better off just heading down to my basement and taking care of things at home.
Home gyms are the way to go. I mean I'm going to miss some of the machines and dumbbells at the gym I went to. I can always piece together a dumbbell set. The power rack that I have on the way has the ability to add lat pull down/low row attachment, dip bar, belt squat, jammer arms, land mine attachment, and more. That alone will cover a majority of my needs.
Also having better equipment overall than what my gym has to offer is another huge incentive for me.
Another plus with a home gym is avoiding the people that wind up crowding the area and doing little that you know they're just there to show off and not actually train.

I'm starting to really get comfortable lifting in my kitchen, but I'll be back in the gym at open on day 1 when Chicago loosens up. I figure only super dedicated people would be willing to come at open and then the entire gym would've been completely disinfected.
My gym has been open for 2 weeks. It's been nice because people are still staying away.
My gym is scheduled to open back up next week and from the post they made on social media, it really doesn't sound like the new guidelines/restrictions are too severe. Hopefully that's the case and people can feel comfortable doing their typical routines.
Jelly of all you guys......... thinking Im just going to join another gym
Ordered my first specialty bar. I went with the Titan Fitness Safety Squat Bar. It's identical to the Elite FTS SS Yoke bar at less than half the cost plus free shipping.

Gyms in Vegas have been shut down. So I have my garage setup with a squat rack and incline bench. Only problem now is getting heavier plates without breaking the bank. So instead the wife and I got a TRX setup, treadmill, and Airdyne from Rogue. We do more body weight and conditioning exercises now, but once things get back to normal I’ll be able to incorporate heavier lifts again.
Any updates from people in states where gyms are back up and open to some degree? Are they making people register for time slots to work out? Are there time restrictions on how long you can work out for?

We'll find out more on Tuesday when we go back here in Ohio.
Fingers crossed.

Yup, hour time slots. das it. the locker rooms will also be closed... so you better arrive good and ready. Another reason I want to find another gym.

That's rough. I'm going to have to forgo powerlifting and focus on hypertrophy. it takes me 10-15mins alone to just do my mobility routine... and the warm up sets i'd need to do to even get to my working sets would take up like 20 mins.

Yeah.... Why I like taking Xtend and other EAAs during workouts is I usually lift for 2-2.5hrs when I go...... made an effort to shorten it and only got it down to an hour and 45min... so not sure how Ill handle an hour.
I use the gym as a little "time away" and restricting it down to an hour would be something I'm not happy about. Until restrictions like that are lifted, I'm not sure I'd even want to head back to be honest. I kind of need that time away (more than an hour) to unplug from the rest of what's going on in my life.
Ok guys and guys, we are gonna let this run through the holiday weekend for anyone that may have missed out and we will wrap it up early next week and get some winners picked!
Anyone doing anything fun for the holiday or just relaxing and keep to yourselves still?

My oldest son is going back to conditioning for football with his team over the holiday, so probably work around that, fire up the grill, and enjoy this 90 degree Vegas weather!
