And some of our nicest gyms on this board have been paid for by our equipment hobbies(reselling).

my local gym is in a section 8 populated sh!thole where people get carjacked on the regular and half the equipment is broken.
they don't have dumbbells up to 165 either.

most LA Fitness' here in Los Angeles don't even have any sort of paper towels on the wall or w/e. Place is gross. If you're going to the gym strictly for lifting and cardio (not bball - swimming or spin class, etc.), your gym better be nice.
Nice set brah

In this area, any $15 gym is not going to be worth going to.
I picked this up for $100 yesterday to use for calf raises and maybe some occasional squats. I'm going to make a custom calf block to use with it. One of the pads is messed up but the good news is I have a set of brand new pads from when I had the big leverage gym body solid makes.

Cool. I've been looking at a similar Tuff Stuff unit and trying to decide if I can move everything around to make room for it. So far it's not looking like it'll happen.
Picked up this BFS leg ext/curl on my way home from work today. It came out of a local high school's weight room, and is in really good shape. The original pivot bolt had gone missing at some point so someone just jammed a 1/2" bolt in its place, without a nut. I'm assuming this is why it didn't see as much use as the rest of the equipment in the auction.
CL finally delivered , picked up a HS leg press and chest today for an "ok" price (delivered from two hours away by seller)
How much for the chest? There's a bunch on ebay in the $1100-$1600 range, but currently there's 2 different clean ones local for $400 each.
700 inc delivery. I was tired of going over CL and wanted one NOW after looking for a couple of months
I had one lined up for 600 but needed to drive 4 hours round trip and pick it up. Not good. I know bulk buyers/resellers get them for $400ish around here so that would be a great price IMO
Ebay is outrageous, depending on the area, and condition you can pick them up a lot cheaper on CL if you have patience. One guy I know got an incline from a HS gym that cost him $200
new bar came from rogue today. vastly superior to the old bar from dick's sporting goods i have.

got this safety squat bar for $75 with 170 pounds of weights, so it should be free after selling the weights :D

The angle of that ss bar looks off, have you used it yet? How did it feel?

Only a four hour round trip. Worth it?

Almost 3 hours since you posted, so I assume you have them in hand now.
Yeah I picked them up last night. I think the silver color and generic ad description helped me to out.

Complete with finished basement. Home gym pics coming soon.
I'm still making payments on the pregnant wife.
sorry in advanced for the bad lighting
Picked up a swift stretching machine for $20. Saw jay cutler use it in one of his videos, so for $20 I figured why not. New these are $200!

Also picked up a commercial (heavy!) flat bench for half a bill. Had to clean it up a bit, but no gouges on the padding or tears that I'm aware of it. Super comfy. 17" bench height. Has a northern lights sticker on it, but no other markings. Kind of strange because northern lights brand is known for their entry level products rather than commercial. So I was surprised to see the sticker, maybe it was slapped on at random.
The bench reminded me of a bodymaster flat bench I saw stasher post. Does anyone have any information on this particular bench??

That is a great deal. I can only find them at $1 per pound. I like them, though, even at the higher price. Easy to grip and not overly thick for rubber coated plates.
Got some knee wraps and elbow sleeves in the mail today. Got about a month before my meet to learn to use the wraps. Plan on using the sleeves during deadlifts and curls to help with some elbow issues I've been having on my right arm. Only had problems with one arm but I bought two sleeves because....equipment.

I have had that leg press in my gym for a while now and really like it. It doesn't take much weight at all to max people out. I just snagged an incline press like that and am storing it until I open another spot. Very nice scores

In my opinion $400 for a HS incline press is a great fair price. I have sold many of them for $500-$700. If you want it I would jump on that price before it's gone. In my area any Hammer chest, back, or shoulder piece will sell extremely quickly for anything under $500.
