^^ I do the exact same thing except I use an exercise band with two loops tied on each end, helps a lot with reminding me to keep my posture more upright so I don't roll my shoulders forward

I found the video. Her channel is pretty badass.
Yep, she's pretty kick ass. I've followed her logs/blogs/vlogs/etc for a long time now. She is a wealth of knowledge and keeps an open mind about trying new things.
well, I ended up taking a video and uploaded it so here it is too. I don't normally do these in the rack and felt cramped in there doing these. It was the only place I could get a good enough angle. I didn't keep my arms fully extended like I normally do feeling like I was going to hit the rack.

Yea, I'll have to check the rest of her videos.
Thanks for posting the video, it definately helps.
I hope my LA Fitness gym has a rope attachment so I can also try out facepulls. People tend to lose or steal the equipment.
I tried facepulls a long time ago and they felt awkard on shoulders (ironically), but I most likely were doing them wrong. Any youtube links on how to do them properly.
Most people like to go heavy and fast, but that isnt the point of doing them for me. I want them for shoulder health, not as a strength builder. I do like 80 lbsX5X10 with each rep taking 3 seconds.
hello? is this thing on?

Tis a shame I just got outdoor plumbing or I would so win this.
My friend is gonna be interviewing Rob Luyando on Friday Sept 14th. I'll post a link up when it's done.

I don't doubt this one bit considering the fact that you have an Erlenmeyer flask filled with fingernail clippings.

That would freak my wife out, because she hates fingernail/toenail clippings. But I find that hilarious and could see myself doing something like that. On the other hand, why do you have an erlenmeyer flask?

i do not have an erlenmeyer flask filled with fingernail clippings...it is a volumetric flask...

wanted to see how long it would take me to fill up a 25mL volumetric flask with fingernail clippings at work for our "cabinet of horrors" been going strong since september '08, just barely hit the volumetric mark.

Anyone got $100 they want to donate? Under Armor swag bag for the Wounded Warrior Project. Way cooler than the bag I got when I was wounded. :p

If you are being even somewhat serious pm me your address brother and I will hook you up.

Oh, I wasn't asking for personal donations or for money so I can donate. I was just giving people an opportunity to donate to the WWP. If you buy a package from the link there, a swag bag will be donated to the WWP and it will go to a Wounded Warrior as soon as they hit the hospital.

Gotcha!
Gotcha!
Yup. If you are able to wear it, having real underwear and a cool t-shirt beats a hospital gown any day of the week!

I loled at the volumetric flask. A cabinet of horrors sounds pretty awesome at work.

I wish I did. My buddy Kenny has gotten so much from the program when he lost his legs and an arm.
Whoo, finally made it to Tulsa. Too bad I'm stuck in a hotel room instead of an apartment. They had to contact my old apartment complex for rental history verification or something and my old place didn't send the paper back today. So now I have to wait...

Have you tried to do one arm at a time. I couldn't find a rope attachment in my gym. I'm thinking of trying out Face pulls with pulley handles and just working one arm at a time. Atleast till I buy a rope attachment for myself.

I always do my face pulls with bands. Using anything from mini, monster mini, to light bands for moderate to high reps.

So are you permanently in Tulsa now ? Or do you have more stuff to move from Miami?
Anyone have an opinion on a purely raw lifter doing westside? I know that my (a) lack of gear and (b) lack of equipment at my college gym (no bands/chains/boards/specialty bars) limit how many exercises I can cycle through on my max days, but I was hoping that WS could still be an effective program to bring up raw numbers. I can still do floor press, incline, cgbp, rack lockouts, and flat but I wasn't entirely sure if that was enough variation to switch between every week before going back and repeating on my ME bench days.
I was looking at WSFSB, but could I replace the dynamic lower day jumping exercise for the westside 10x2 box squat waves?
If not, any others you guys suggest that have dynamic/max effort work built into each week?

Yes I have an opinion on it. Its the main method I've used since getting into power lifting. Started with the basic 9 week template. Did that twice I think. Then got an EFS basic training manual before the basic training manual book came out. It was a smaller almost pamphlet like book with a template in there I followed a couple times. Then started to really get a hang of it and started customizing on my own and have ever since. EFS does have a nicer bigger book out called the basic training manual but I actually like the template in the original pamphlet like book better but the rest of the content is better in the new book.
Also, I've read every west side article like 20 times now and still will reread some of them here and there.
