I'm a lifetime olympic style squatter like OP and only very recently (past few weeks) tried to squat with this kind of "powerlifter form", to help my deadlift
Squatting with this form is hard as fuk for me, I can do way more weight olympic style. I guess my hamstring muscles are all shriveled up and weak from only doing olympic style

Fuark, nice squat brah. I remember the first time I put 405 on my back, the clanky-clank walking it out was something to remember (srs). From there on progress just went so slow for me, but hey...just gotta keep on keepin' on. You do the same (srs). How much time did it take you to go from ~4 plates to 440?
Oly lifting principles applied to squatting is, in my opinion, the best/most effective/most impressive way of doing it. Gimme a beautiful 4+plate ATG high-bar squat any day over a bloaty PLer "hitting parallel" (but did they really? Can't tell because they put so much fukking effort into minimizing ROM that they're constantly on the fukking edge...) with z-omg 500lbssss.

You should squat as deep as you can, from a development standpoint.
Neither style of squat will help you hammies, do good morning, RDL, weighted back extensions instead. I actually gave up stiff legged deadlifts off the floor in favor of stricter hinges.
The best way to use a squat to drive up a deadlift is to just get your squats stronger. The bigger rom you can move your hips through, the stronger they will be.

Looked really good! I came in here expecting an ugly no walkout monolift, not even parallel good morning squat but that was pretty much perfect.
