[b]Generalities[/b]
Graduate student (almost done!!!), training/lifting for 4ish years. My focus is always on compound movements. I run a very messy upper/lower split. I train as often as possible, for as hard as possible. I just got done with a 9 day total break (for traveling/work), so I'm ready to get back at it.
I am looking at fulfilling one of my New Years Goals this March - which is to compete in a strong(wo)man contest. I just need to check to make sure I can handle the weights. No zeros allowed.
I'm currently sitting around 131 and wouldn't mind gaining some weight along with strength increases. As much as I love BCAAs during dieting, there will be no dieting in this log. I usually have trouble eating enough and haven't seen any huge weight increases in the last few months that I've been "bulking".
Important note!! I don't always include tons of information - my style of writing tends to be 'short', but I love discussion/talk about training/diet/nutrition. So jump in at any point!
[b]Training[/b]
As mentioned my workouts do not follow a set program. Generally, I aim to squat 2-3x/week, DL 1x, bench 2x and OHP 2x. Accessories will include squat variations, rows, bench variations, more rows, pullups and the occasional curl or tricep work. And lots of shoulder prehab work as I'm coming off an injury.
During the week I train at a 24hr fitness and I'll be going to a strongman gym Saturdays. If the contest is a go, I'll organize the next 6 weeks to train towards that.

But only when dieting, so this will be a new one for me. I'll be taking 2 scoops per workout (12g of BCAAs). This is on the low end for me(usually hit closer to 40g :eek:), but that was when dieting and I'd like the log to last a little bit longer.
I got the fruit punch flavor, which tends to be hit or miss for me. This is my first time trying a Betancourt product. Tomorrow will be the first workout and first time squatting (lower body day) in 10 days. I'm sure I'll be sore following it.
