Reppin 95 dbs for 3 sets of 5, and hittin about 215 for 5 sets of 5...so idk like a year or so once i started eating right. if i wanna get like 3-4 reps at 225. i love my dbs though

About a year I think.
Last thread like this we had people claiming to hit a 225lb bench in 2-3 months. Of course they had no avi.
about 4 years, but I'm also small as fuk and can only do it for 5 reps hehe.

gotta love the misc, they squat 315 after 6 months of lifting too
Worked my way up dumbells and then just tried 2 plate one day and did it for 5 first time. I was into the 40kg (88lb+) DBs though, probably on 44s and that progression from about 20kg DBs (44lbs) took me about 6-8 months
For reps? about a year.
Idk how you people do it in a year. Fark :(
Took me like 2 years lol. Creeping up on that 315 now tho
never

I'm barely hitting 185 but can hammer out 80lbs DBs for 6... :\ looking forward to 225...
Is 225 a common bench? I don't see too many in my folks pushing that much...

This haha. I'm 18 months in and not even close
Thank god for this thread
Been lifting (on a cut) for 6 months and can only do 180lbs for 8 reps and thought I was making the slowest progress in the worlds
about 6 years. i hit 225 for a set of five at 19 during my freshman year of college, couldnt even hit 225 once the summer before.

1 year isn't beyond the realm of possibilty if you know what you're doing. If you start totally clueless though, you can waste that entire year on poor routine and nutrition. Most people don't stick to lifting religiously at the beginning and only go a month or 2 to look decent for spring break.
5 years.. Just started benching 2 plates last week
Real talk

Second year hasn't been too bad but still a ways to go. Really want 225 for reps though, good goal to hit.

90% of us waste at least 6 months or so before having an idea on whats going on...other 10% is athletes or got legit trainers or at least some help ya know

Kind of shocked to see it's taken people that long to hit a 2 plate bench for minimum 3-4 reps..
I got there in about 8 months, and I'm far from strong. Still can only get 275x3 2/2.5 years in
years only because i started lifting when I was a teenager
it is a warmup now
ususally finish bench with 8x 315
I really could not be further away from 225 or 100kg. I started at the bar 3months ago, now at 60kg. Hopefully, if im lucky ill hit 100kg by the end of the year. We're all gonna make it brah
ITT: Manmores. I know these feels.
