Sticky Thread Sticky: The Bench Form Thread

We see a lot of threads asking for bench form critiques on this forum. I feel like most of these threads are made because people don’t know how to critique their own form. They just don’t know what to look for. I’m hoping to narrow that gap with this thread. I’m not going to touch on everything,...

Keeping tension in muscle/rep speed

Help! Lost a lot of strength for pull-ups.

So a week and a half ago, I was able to do 6-7 dead hand pull-ups. After working out with a personal trainer, I could only do 1-2. I worked out with the trainer two days in a row, then had a 6 day rest, and could still only do 1-2. Today, I attempted pull-ups again, and I can only do 1 now. I gave...

Correcting Posture from Excessive Sitting Exercises?

Hi, When I was younger I used to spend a lot of time at a computer desk playing video games which led to rounded shoulders, and as I've grown I've still continued to spend a lot of time at a desk studying and also playing games on the side occasionally. From the research I did, I've found that...

Training Daily

Benching too slowly on the way up

Are you supposed to push the bar slightly explosively (obviously not as fast as when doing a pendlay row) with a proper push. I have been doing 5x5 and so far I push the bar up a little slowly. I suppose that means more TUT but is that less important when training for strength?
