Are lunges primarly a glutes exercise?

Question Vertical Leg Press vs. Regular Leg Press | Less Weight vs. More Weight

Has anyone done a vertical leg press and noticed that you cannot lift nearly the same amount of weight that you could on a regular leg press? From what I read this is due to the angle. Any thoughts / opinions? Just clarifying if what I am hearing is correct.

T-BAR Rows

At my school gym there is no good attachments (including no good low row attachment) that can be used as handles for T-BAR rows. Instead, I have to grab the actual bar to do rows. Is this safe or should I look into buying a low row attachment or T-BAR row handle? If so, where can I find one?
