Sticky Thread Sticky: The Bench Form Thread

We see a lot of threads asking for bench form critiques on this forum. I feel like most of these threads are made because people don’t know how to critique their own form. They just don’t know what to look for. I’m hoping to narrow that gap with this thread. I’m not going to touch on everything,...

Is the Clean and Jerk the King of Lifts? Coach Newton says: "Weightlifting’s second competitive lift, the clean & jerk, is known as the “King of Lifts.” This is for good reason, as the C&J allows the most weight to be lifted from the ground to overhead." What do you think? I learned to...

Do you do core strengthening exercises as part of your workout?

Deloading with low volume/high intensity..

I'm currently working with normally just one top set and one back off set for most big lifts. I wondered how best to go about deloading when volume is already low. If for example I'm benching 100kg for 8 and backing off with 80kg for 14 - would just dropping the back off set be sufficient to reduce...

Lightbulb Quad strengthening w/ minimal knee hinging?

I am trying to rebuild my left leg muscles (the quadriceps in particular), which have atrophied due to a knee injury 5 years ago. Knee limitations are still a concern, and it may never get back to 100%. High reps and high weight both cause the knee joint to produce extra synovial fluid, which...
