Sprinting

I sprint on a treadmill 2 times a week. Last week I sprinted at speed 10(think its 10mph) and went almost half a mile .45 to be exact, then rested and went 1/3 mile at 11mph. At my level of capability, are these speeds to slow to be anabolic? Should I crank the speed up to 13+?

Does exercise selection really matter

Obviously you want to make sure you prioritize compound movements, but for muscle growth does it really matter what exercises you choose as long as you are stimulating the muscle and progressive overloading (assuming nutrition and sleep is in check)
