Sticky Thread Sticky: The Bench Form Thread

We see a lot of threads asking for bench form critiques on this forum. I feel like most of these threads are made because people don’t know how to critique their own form. They just don’t know what to look for. I’m hoping to narrow that gap with this thread. I’m not going to touch on everything,...

Can I do dumbbell floor presses as my main exercise?

Basically the question I asked, I want to know if doing 6 sets of 10 dumbbell floor press would be enough for pressing on chest day which I do once a week. I used to do 6 sets of 10 flat barbell bench and then 3 sets of 10 incline barbell bench. Maybe I can just do as many pushups as possible for 3...

'Full' ROM - yours is likely different than mine

ATG squats, touch the chest on the bench press, OHP from the clavicle, pullups touching the upper chest, etc... How common are these sayings? Every gym bro says - "ahh, you have to squat deeper", "you have to touch the chest otherwise it's not a pullup". I used to believe in them - and...

Results Question

Hi. I've been bulking for 2 weeks every other day. I've gotten stronger (went from 15 pound dumbells to 25 pounds) as an example, but my muscles aren't getting bigger. It's only been 2 weeks, but since I'm getting stronger, shouldn't like my arms show it? Thanks.

One arm DB rows vs. cable rows

My program calls for either one-arm DB rows or cable rows; I’ve been using the former, but I’ve noticed that my upper back is lacking in size and I’m wondering if a wide-grip (particularly a low row with the lat bar that has your palms facing one another) cable row will help me here. Obviously I...

I started doing neutral grip pull downs and my front delt kept on getting super tight to the point of pain at the top of each rep. besides stretching, would it be a good idea to just do less weight and let my shoulder get acclimated to the motion?
