Sticky Thread Sticky: The Bench Form Thread

We see a lot of threads asking for bench form critiques on this forum. I feel like most of these threads are made because people don’t know how to critique their own form. They just don’t know what to look for. I’m hoping to narrow that gap with this thread. I’m not going to touch on everything,...

Should I go to the gym more

I’ve been lifting for 3 months doing fierce 5 and loving it. It motivates me when I get in there and I can add 5lbs to my lifts each week minimum. Besides my squats and deadlifts they are kinda lagging behind. If I feel great and energized should I go more often or should I just stick to the 3 days...

Incredibly slow benchpress progress

I've been going to the gym now for about 5-6 months, so I'm not expecting to be extremely strong yet. I am 16, just over 6 ft and I weigh around 12.2 stone, which equates to 77.5KG. My benchpress started off at 25KG, and I could only do around 4 reps, now I am able to do 1 rep of 60KG, and 3-4 reps...

But mostly because I'm scared of dropping the weights on me if I go to a lower rep range where it might be harder for me to...

Back Workout is exhausting!!!

Compared to chest or shoulders, back workout seems to be exhausting. Is this normal? On chest days, I can do presses, fly, and dips, and still be fresh. But on back day, I am exhausted after rows and pullups. Is this normal? Do back exercises consume too much energy?

Getting ready to go back into bench press

I've learned I've been doing it wrong. I had a flat back for the most part. My elbows looks like it is 45 degrees, maybe a little closer to my body, is this a strict number that we must keep at all times or is it no big deal to go a little lower or higher than 45 degrees? Lockingout on the other...

upper traps

Ive been doing some research.. the upper fibers of the traps run horizontally so some claim machine rows or seated rows would be better for trap hypertrophy mixed with an isometric stretch exercise (deadlift, farmer walks, power shrugs) rather than regular shrugs.. anyone have experience with this?

Rep range explained

Hi guys, can someone please explain a basic thing? How rep range works? What I mean by that, if we have 3 sets of 8 - 12 rep range, it means I should go in first set for 12, in second for 10 and in third for 8 reps and increasing the weight every time? I searched this everywhere, but everyone...

deadlift form check please

to me it looks like the weirdest thing but that's probably just me. it almost looks like my lower back is straight, then my back turns at a sharp angle, and the rest is straight. Is how I am lifting safe? I have gone up to a 325 one rep max now and back feels 95% fine, just a little tight. Also, if...
