Sticky Thread Sticky: The Bench Form Thread

We see a lot of threads asking for bench form critiques on this forum. I feel like most of these threads are made because people don’t know how to critique their own form. They just don’t know what to look for. I’m hoping to narrow that gap with this thread. I’m not going to touch on everything,...

Squat form check

Ok so I've started going to the gym like 7 months ago, following Starting Strength. After about 4/5 months I went from just the bar to 90kg/200lbs low bar(my form was bad tho, I was doing good morning squats). For a couple of weeks I stalled at that weight and then I started regressing because of...

Is working arms every other day fine, or should I rest for 2 days?

I'm not looking to become huge, I just want to build my triceps and biceps up a bit. I have a workout for myself already, and what I want to know is if doing arms every other day is too much.

Effort at maximum contraction: Cable Tri pushdown vs Dumbell Tri Extension

I've mostly been doing cable tri pushdowns, and can do 3x10 @ 30kg, but when I do Dumbell tri extensions, I struggle at 8kg. My theory is more weight at maximal contraction is harder, but what effects are there in terms of size gains?

How do I avoid leaning forward on the front squat?

I did front squats today and noticed after recording myself that when I use a clean grip with two fingers, my elbows will stay up, but I lean forward like I would doing a high bar squat. I was previously concerned about keeping my elbows up, so I lowered the weight to 95 lb so I could try working...

Just to be clear, I just want my legs to be proportional to the rest of my body. I work out to be healthy and not be fat, I'm not trying to look like a bodybuilder or anything. But here's the thing, I blew my knee out a few years ago at work (law enforcement) and now whenever I do legs (squats,...

I can't feel my chest being 'worked out' during or after chest exercises.

I've only been working out for around 2 months, and I assumed, when I started, that not feeling the chest excercises in your chest was usual for beginners. Since then, I've spoken to a lot of people that have been working out for about the same length of time as me and they say that they can still...
