Sticky Thread Sticky: The Bench Form Thread

We see a lot of threads asking for bench form critiques on this forum. I feel like most of these threads are made because people don’t know how to critique their own form. They just don’t know what to look for. I’m hoping to narrow that gap with this thread. I’m not going to touch on everything,...

Probably injured - depressed

After deciding to test new PRs this week on squat, DL, and OHP, (hit a new high on all three, very short lived victory) I noticed a small, painless, bulge in the upper middle part of my abs. Post Why do squats activate more quads than leg extensions?

I have been recently reading some journal articles comparing EMG quadriceps activity in the squat and leg extensions. Majority of studies indicate that interestingly squats no only elicit greater muscle activity on the hamstrings, glutes and calves, but also the quadriceps. My question is, why...

7 minutes HIIT

Hi, What is your opinion on 7 minutes HIIT? I hear some studies suggest that 7 minutes HIIT is very effective, especially as a compliment. I have been trying it for the last 2 weeks every 'resting' day from lifting and I don't notice any particular improvement, my idea was to use it as a...

Strength Training for Long Distance Runners

Does anyone have any recommendations? I enjoy lifting and wouldn't mind a program that has me in the gym three days a week if not more, but the problem is that most programs that I've found are all one day, and don't have many traditional/ barbell lifts (maybe for a reason).
