Ab bulking

I feel like the inner part of my abs are bigger than the outer part. I currently don't directly train my abs but do compound exercises. Will core exercises help build the outer abs or is it genetics? If so What exercises do you mean recommend for outer ab hypertrophy?

lower abs without the hip flexors

Is there a good lower ab exersice that doesn't use your hip flexors all that much. Can you only work your lower abs or do you just work them all in genrel.

I can only jump rope barefoot

Any experiences from training in the 1-5 rep range?
