When lifting heavy, should you decrease weights as you go?

Noob here, apologies. When lifting the heaviest you can do in small amount of reps and sets until you can't lift that weight anymore, should you decrease the weight amount by a tiny bit and do same amount of reps (or more)?

Lost interest in the gym

I'll try keep this as short as possible. I'm 23 and have been going to the gym since about 17. When I was younger, I was really keen/enthusiastic/dedicated and all I wanted was to be muscular. It was more superficial back then, i.e. look good for girls, to be cool etc. After about 21 (so 4...

Unhappy Failed Squat Rep, Sore

Today I failed my first rep of the second set with 82,5Kg. I couldn't control the bar enough to tilt it backwards in time and in the process I strained my muscles to the right side of my lumbar discs quite heavily, somewhere around the sacroiliac joint, might be the gluteus maximus. I got the bar...

Not getting sore

I’m on week 3 of working out, second week of which has been a 5x5 full body routine I have been doing since the first week was just messing around getting used to being back in gym. I don’t feel as sore the next day the last couple times but take for example squats which I can barely do with weight...

Question Where do you pull yourself when you do chin ups?

Hi! I usually touch my chest with the bar while I do chin ups. Is it necessery? I mean, more ROM is good, but maybe that few millimeters doesn't worth it, we have some biomechanical disadventage at the top blablabla or something like that? How do you do it?

how long to rest before training bodypart

how long do you think is enough to rest and retrain a certain bodypart say chest or biceps or whatever it is? note that the training style here is HIT, not high volume but high intensity (obviously with warmup sets but one working set and perhaps a drop set). so for the guys doing this type of...

Box step ups

Reset completely after each rep and start from the floor or keep one foot fixed on the box for desired amount of reps then switch legs? Curious to see what others do.

Exclamation Hip shift during squats. How to fix?

I'm 4 months into my starting strength program. As I progressively add more weight my hip shifts noticeably more and I get back pain. I'm thinking I should stop doing 5x5 squats, lower the weight and do 8x3 so I can improve my form.

Target rear delts?

So my rear delts are lagging compared to my front delts and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or specific isolation exercises they feel works well to target them. I have a hard time really feeling a pump in them or getting them worn out.

RDL form check

I know it's just RDL, but I'd appreciate critiques. Lately my hips and upper quads (sartorius and IT band) are feeling really tight, and I wonder if it's something to do with bad form on this exercise. 255 lbs, third set of 8-10 reps. Thanks.

*Back story*- So I was working legs today and my gym only has one dead lift station / squat rack, and there was a lot of people using it (heavier weights than I do so I didn't want to burden them and have me jump in and change the weight) *Actual Question* - should I do deadlifts as I do them on...
